Thanks for the video!! I do have a question: how does Intersect work? For instance, if the layers had totally different colors, would it leave only those areas that intersected regardless of color? So, if you used intersect between 2 layers that were gradients then what would be the result? I assume that if any data were there, then it would assume it to be Positive, for example. So, if there were 2 white circles, the result would still be a petal, as in your example. Just curious!!
Good question! The intersected shape will inherit the color of whichever layer was at the bottom of the 2 layers you selected. The colors of the 2 layers won't be mixed.
@@AffinityRevolution Just FYI, those tools (Add, Subtract, Intersect) were not on my Toolbar as I'm using Photo Persona. Is that b/c I'm using Affinity Photo 2?
@@AffinityRevolution I did find out that they are graphic tools (vector?) and cannot be used on pixel based content like photos. But, I still enjoyed your lesson.
Hey I have a question. When I click on Gradient it will fill 2 colors entirely on flower. There are no individual petals visible. when I try to reduce opacity, I can see the petals, but in your case, you have not reduced the opacity. Please help.
I would pay to have Ally just follow me around and narrate my day lol. Another great video, thanks! These really are helpful!

@@dougdina I think those options are only available in Affinity Designer (which is what this video used).

Amazing
Does anyone know what drawing tool she uses? I want to try something beyond a laptop pad or mouse lol.
