mmm, I see where you're coming from, but he's definately playing slap. It's amazing how fluid he is, it may not be your normal funk style slap bass, but his tecnique involves 'slapping' and plucking, it's impossible to say that it's one or the other, but it's definately both.
lol on everyone of there live dvds when they play that really fast hammer-on lick during this song they zoom in on there drummer, its like its forbidden to see them play it or something lol
dont wanna sound stupid cause i know im not but heres how u can tell a few differences from this any NY... first off i saw ppl in this vid that i saw at the concert i went to.... second off look at the backround tv's lined by a frame..... not like that in NY... third off this is a smaller venue than NY..... idk... believe me or dont but i DEFINATLY recognize that guy i posted about at 5:18.... dreadlock haired kid with a bandana.... saw him at every show
live at starland was a way better performance in my opinion. not that this was bad at all but the drums and just too perfected. it was better at starland cuz it was more raw and better energy. just sayin
This chills I just got watching this….would've been an incredible experience to see it live
greatest verse of lyrics ever written (: that verse just sends the whole story and power into the songs :D
The story behind this song is so deep as it is with all the others.
Jeez, the breakdown section is phenomenal.
LOVE Coheed
the drums in this song are sooo perfect

What I would fucking give to have gone to this.
DAMN! Chris Pennie played around with the build up into the Outro (Dear Ambelina part) and it RULES
I LOOOVE COHEEED

Greatest song of all time.
I love how this song isn't so fast that Claudio isn't out of breath singing it. It makes this song even more epic.

This is a true fact...
@xToxicFool no actually he could easily be right because during the time consumer video chris pennie switches pants
thats two words
Yeah your right its not really a slap more of an aggressive plucking
i mean he throws some slaps in there but hes in no way is he playing slap bass. you have to slap a little to get that deep growl he has
