This is so well made. And I feel is totally show and book canon. Like duh he jealous of so much. Like so great.
His all over the place jealousy is so funny to me because he envies anyone who is close to Inej and anything that she might do that doesn't revolve around him, but when he has the chance to get close to her he does the opposite and then he punishes everyone else for it 😂😂😂🤦♀️

The TM 🤣🤣🤣 And I love how Kaz’s disdain for Alina is show-canon 😂😂😂 It was like Nina and Kaz were trying to balance the scales by not being impressed, because Alina has so many fans, from Inej to Sturmhond. And Jesper just loves trouble - I’m convinced he deliberately says/does things with Inej that would piss off Kaz 😜😜😜
His amplified show jealousy is probably the most canon thing about Kaz (and my favorite 😂🤷♀️). As for Nina, I understand how she is skeptical of everyone, including Alina, but I hope they are not seeding some sort of "Alina was evil all along, she'll go mad in S3, mordor lots of innocent people and she has to be sacrificed by one of the men (Nikolai/Mal)" I'm all for corruption arc, so long as they don't go misogynous with her character. That showing mercy to the badies in order to be better than them is nonsense anyway, let Alina deal with them in gruesome ways, just like Kaz does 😜 That would be the best outcome (and consistent with the S2 finale). As for trouble makers, I'm convinced that Jesper, Nina and Tolya are all trying to jibe at Kaz (not to mention Nina and Tolya know exactly how Kaz feels, even though he always acts like a prickTM 😂)
@@aranystudio I saw a Ben post from ASOCAS 2 that there’s a deleted scene where when the Darkling realised he won’t be around to “protect” Alina in future, he “feeds” some of his darkness into her. So, definitely not evil all along. I rather liked seeing Kaz and Nina - for their own reasons - be wary of Alina. I mean, there’s Mal, Nikolai, Nadia, Tamar, Tolya, Inej, and even Zoya who are all Team Alina. It’s good to see Alina from a different perspective. Jesper and Wylan also seem quite neutral. I mean, Jesper directly says to Inej that the mission was for “her Saint”. I think these POVs add dimension to Alina’s character.
Getting back to this video, I like how Kaz’s jealousy is subtle in the grand scheme of the show, but when we have dedicated fan videos like this, it makes us all giggly and happy 🤭🤭🤭
Oh, I see what you mean by the different perspectives on Alina. :D It's true that her "dark side" seemed shallow in the books (just like Harry Potter she's wondering if she isn't the same as the villain, so original; the crows' grayness is way better written, as is Zoya's, as for Nikolai, LB needs to put a demon in him lest he be perfect *facepalm* 😂

@@aranystudio Yes, it was one of my favourite things about the show - to see Alina from other people’s perspectives! It makes her more memorable (I definitely like show Alina way more than book Alina) and adds depth to her character.
It makes the Crows multidimensional too - Inej who has her freedom, but believes in Alina enough to give her all the help she needs, Kaz who’s in it for money but also understands that Alina is the only one who can stop the Darkling, Jesper and Wylan who have their own unresolved childhood trauma and neither are religious (so doubt they believe in Alina) but know they have the skills to help out, and my favourite being Nina, who starts out as a fan of Alina but changes her mind.
I wonder if Inej knew what Alina did, and whether she would continue to believe in Alina or start to distrust her like Nina.
Oh, I see! You put it very beautifully! That's an amazing question - what would Inej do if she knew Alina used merzost! Merzost always has unwanted consequences, but the only one visible so far is that Alina is a shadow summoner now. I don't see that as a bad thing in itself. I think they are trying to make Alina's new found unrestraint the problem for S3, so it wouldn't be that she was bad for using merzost, but that she will do some bad things out of her own free will. But maybe the merzost she used will have other consequences in S3 - tied in with Zoya's arc and whatever will happen in the remnant of the fold...
But now you've given me another idea - Nina was struck by Alina bringing Mal back, but she will face the same question with Matthias. How will this affect her?
