Alex, could you please link to the specific Super Glue and accelerant you use? There are so many out there but I would like to buy the one you use . Thank you and best wishes
Hey thanks for doing this video. I have some makonde pieces broken during travel. I was wondering if I can use the same method as I have fime dust. Any pointers?
I just take a piece of bark some 80grit sandpaper make a little pile of sawdust . Then I take the superglue make a paste like wood filler then fill the cracks. I learned that from Rich Jenkins the whimsical house carver.
I am a carver and something I don't understand is why carvers don't use Mohawk colored stick epoxy. I have used this product for years you can't beat this stuff, you can the colors in a few min. You can rock and roll. I can't figure out why you guys don't use it. Try it it's wonderful

Thanks for the kind words!!!
Excellent tips here as always. Thanks Alec!
Super helpful Alec! Especially crack filing. But how casually you said "just peel off the face" to then make the fix. Wow.
Glad it was helpful! Lol
Good stuff Alec, thanks for sharing! I'm going to mention this video in the next episode of Wood Carving Weekly.
Awesome, thank you!
My pleasure Alec!@@AlecLaCasseArt
How does the repaired area take different finishes? Do any of the standard finishes attack the glue area?

I know they make a spray to speed up drying, do they make a spray that slows down the drying ?
