- Backstage at the August Wilson, the nearly 100-year-old theater currently houses the cast of "Mean Girls," the delightful Tony-nominated musical adaptation of Tiny Fey's beloved early aughts teen comedy. Barrett Wilbert Weed, who stars as Janis, preps for eight shows a week in a minuscule dressing room-one that recently underwent a serious style transformation.

I really love the skulls. I think that when you have a role in a show, your dressing room should have a little bit of that character in there and i definitely feel the skulls give that Janis feel
She has a way higher voice than I expected. Like I thought it would be more like Janis's taking, but it's honestly closer to her high singing.

Chris Graham Ok im stepping out of character for a moment😂 She basically is on what's called vocal rest. She has extremely demanding vocal parts in the musical and she has to put alto im to her performance, do before she has a show she can't be too high strung. She has reserve her energy so she can deliver the best performance that she can. So she doesn't talk too loud during videos or interviews so that her voice doesn't wear out. Some people I know don't even talk on vocal rest. That and she may just be laid back. But I really hope she isn't becoming sleep deprived
