    About a year ago I had a choice between moving to Georgia or somewhere else. Thank God I chose somewhere else. Between the now insane rent prices (they've more than doubled in the Tbilisi FB groups) and the new neighbors I'd say I really dodged a bullet... possibly literally.

      After doing my own research and watching Andrew for 3 years I narrowed down my choices to either Balkans or Georgia. The one and only thing that put me off from choosing Georgia was it's close proximity to Russia and the fact that Russia just waltzed right into Georgia in our not too distant past.so I moved to Balkans 1.5 years ago and it turned out that living close to russsia did turn out to be a risk.im not a goepolitical expert so I can't make a calculated guess weather or not my fears of moving to Georgia based on the premise that Russia could invade Georgia again are legitimate or not . But at this time Georgia seems like it could possibly be a risk on that front . Opinions encouraged please

    Contributes substantially to the development of the state economy, is there a statutory or at least objective definition of substantially somewhere? Or does it depend on how the reviewing bureaucrat is feeling that day? Looks like a beautiful place, and I know the food is good, but seems like an extraordinary amount of hoops to jump through. Interesting video nonetheless.

      1. Dual citizenship is more open in Georgia now, and not everyone needs to renounce at all.

  • @fumble_brewski5410
    @fumble_brewski5410 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Well, are you SURE that you really want to become a citizen of Georgia? Georgia shares an 894 km (556 mi) border with Russia, which runs from the Black Sea coast in the west and then along the Greater Caucasus Mountains to Azerbaijan in the east. Not the most secure place in the world, especially when you consider the fact that its two (much larger) neighbours are not exactly friendly. Plus, depending on your age, you may be required to serve in the Georgian military. Not a good scenario.

    • @RealityTransurfingtv
      @RealityTransurfingtv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Georgia has always been somewhat of an unstable country, as with many other countries within the region, yet this magnificent place still continues to exist and thrive brilliantly. If you look at the stability index you will see that Georgia is only slightly less stable than the US currently. There is a tangible undercurrent of magic, opportunity and comfort here for which those who turn away from the narrative you are offering will greatly benefit.
      There is no illusion greater than fear. -Lao Tzu

    • @fumble_brewski5410
      @fumble_brewski5410 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@RealityTransurfingtv "The Americans are a very lucky people. They're bordered to the north and south by weak neighbors, and to the east and west by fish." - Otto von Bismarck. Just the opposite is true of Georgia. While it may have fish to the west (in the Black Sea), it is surrounded by much larger (and unfriendly) powerful nations--Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan--in all other directions, any of which may decide to invade it. And all of your supposed "undercurrent of magic" will avail little in that scenario.

      @@souqsayara7644 Have you ever actually lived in the USA? If not, then you're talking out of school. Having lived here my entire life, I feel that I've been treated quite well, both by my state government, as well as by the federal government. My taxes at all levels are quite low and I've always been able to afford a reasonably priced home in which to live and raise a family. Is the USA perfect? Far from it, but what place is? There is a reason why that, in 2020 alone, the United States granted 707,362 people lawful permanent resident status (not counting the large number of illegals from Mexico, etc.) And that reason includes: economic opportunity, security, freedom of conscience/religion, and the rule of law. If the USA isn't your cup of tea, then by all means find a country that meets your requirements. Cheers and long life, my friend.
