But honestly i think we all know he’s going to full clear what’s left when the time comes and put it to rest. And it’s time. We’ve loved our boi’s Isaac content for years but we all know the singular banter can come to us on any game at this point.
It speaks volumes about how much he improved since the other two reviews to see him gauge most cards in the context of deck and relics. I'm real proud.
Except he went too far in that direction, almost every card he underrated because it needs a "supporting cast" or a certain relic or a combo. Thats the entire point of deckbuilding.
I think the thing you have to think about when evaluating poison cards is that poison isolated doesn't do justice to how much damage the card does. for example poison stab you said is 6 damage plus 3+2+1 (6) poison damage. in a vacuum that is true but if there was already 5 poison on something the poison goes up to 8 and you have now added 8+7+6 poison damage which makes it do an extra 21 damage. this gets exponentially higher as poison gets higher of course. it may not change your evaluation of the card but i think you do a disservice to not factor that into it
NL logic: Dagger spray: 8-12 damage to all enemies with no draw backs (and better scale with str): meh, decent on first floor, 1 or 2/5. All out attack: 10-14 and losing one card: i love it, close on 5/5.

@Dump the Frog not toxic, just not an obsessive fanboy. when egg makes clear mistakes its our job as an audience to give him some advice and criticism. if he does a good job we compliment him and tell him that we're glad that he played well, example the rat fight in Gungeon when he played his own style which was entertaining. When he slams all the eggs at the slay the spire wall with brute force and luck hoping an egg will break the wall can get rather frustrating but we continue watching because we want him to win at the end. and this comment is accurate as there were some cards that could have secured him an earlier victory if he didnt undervalue it because of one poorly made deck. and there are a few cards which he tries to take every run because it gave him a solid deck in a previous run. he even admits it in the video that he didnt analyse as much as he should have until the ending episodes which later resulted in a victory. is this comment harsh? yes. but its backed up by the several hundred episodes of lost A20 runs.
I managed to get it in a run with tingsha and shrunken, after that it is just a matter of playing acrobatics, it would have been even more op with ornamental fan since you wouldn't need to worry about defense

karuo sai please elaborate because he really wasn’t gauging the cards too badly. There were a couple bad calls but for the most part it was actually way better than I’d expect from the egg.
In my opinion NL is looking at Dagger Throw the wrong way. The single draw you get from playing it isn't really valuable because you would have drawn the exact same card had you not picked up dagger throw to begin with, dagger throw just takes that place in the initial draw in your hand. So at the end of the day as far as I see it it's just 1 energy for 9 damage and a discard.

I’ve had this game on pc over a year. Didn’t really play much. Picked it up on iOS and played 50 hours in the last week. Damn what a game.

I was thinking that, most of my silent victories have had 3-4 Deadly Poisons, it’s one of the very few cards I always take at the first opportunity.
You know the card isn't getting any more than a 3 when he says "This is a very interesting card."

Deadly poison is one of the best posion cards. It is only beat out by corpse explosion and catalyst

You must play larger decks than I do. I rarely hear you ever discuss deck size, and it is always a factor in the value of any card.

Blade Dance is certainly not a "1". A minimum 3 in my opinion.

Yeah, if you can upgrade it and have any discard or shiv synergy it's easily one of the best silent cards! Sadly I only get it on poison runs
