Costing : 13 Lakhs On road
Mileage :
Highway - 20kmpl
Mixed conditions - 13-14kmpl
Peak bumper to bumper type drives - 8-9kmpl
Build - ok ok 3 star rating could be better if they use more good quality metals and we can understand if 1-2 lakhs increased cost if got 4 star
Comfort - super amazing can take 7 people's easily. Good suspension which don't let you feel crazy road conditions
Performance - sucks little bit at initials with 1-2 gears but need to understand its not Car to race or enjoy drags.
We easily drive it at 100-120 on highways very easily without any fear of loosing control as it has got all disc and front abs brakes which stops car at really amazingly.
Summary :
Good to consider if you looking for proper 7 seater with budget of 12-15 lakhs.

but i can tell you one thing, Carens has all type C fast chargers for every seat and every seat also has independent AC, 3rd row has more space and overall carens has more width so you can notice more space in carens than in ertiga.
so difference is there but ertiga slightly has better mileage if that concerns you.
I have both carens and ertiga and i would pick carens anyday for long rides

Bhai 15-16 lacs tak ke budget ke liye XL6 aur Carens theek hain but 20 lacs me to bahot options hote hain fir.. DCT torque converter ki tarah reliable bhi nahi. But theek hai. Kia ke sath yahi hai ki ek bar test drive le lo to aur kisi ka interior accha hi nahi lagega.
I'm happy with my XL6@13.5 lacs now complete 4000 km in 6 months ...nice video Ravi bhai..👍

XL6 is way more sensible choice than Carens when it comes to practicality & mileage.
Also, I think, it's the cheapest car with ventilated seats, other than Nexon Kaziranga.

Marazzo production discontinued by Mahindra due to lack of demand but a very good vehicle. Brezza is a 4 cylinder naturally aspirated 1.5 litre petrol engine with 4* safety. XL6 is also a good reliable vehicle though safety is unknown. Good enough for normal city rides.

Perfect 7 seater with good build quality and nice drive experience. On highways, actually gives you a feel of Cruiser. Great thing is that Body role is perfect. Not less Not more.
The door of this car feels like Thermocol.. Even a bang from a scooter will do substantial damage to Carens

@@stark469 Yes. Currently own Skoda Kushaq. Opening the door itself was sufficient to change my decision from buying Kia to Skoda. Also check the platform and frame on which both cars are build on what will happen if a truck runs over both cars.. Who will survive

I drive Carens literally everyday and i never felt what you said. Maybe the car you had tested or tried had faulty things but in general latest bs6 v2 model of Carens don't have low quality doors.

@@stark469 You didn't read what I wrote. I tested carens and seltos both. I had almost finalised Carens but then took Skoda Kushaq's test drive and realised how pathetic the door quality of Carens and Seltos is.
Carens door feels similar to maruti doors.. Similar to the acrylic doors ppl have in bathrooms. Anyway ppl in India will prefer dying by owning something which looks pretty good over ensuring that nothing is more important than safety

Driven brezza ZXI 5k km in 3 months, the over-all experience is really good. Milage is good. And i use it daily. Also it feels safer and stronger then other Maruti cars. My first choice was Nexon though but the engine refinement is better in brezza. So i went for this.
M confused for brezaa and nexon , which one has the best ride quality ?

@@Navranavlogs MID pe it shows 14-15 in gurgaon-delhi traffic. And highways pe 20-21. And actual milage is also some where close to MID.
Reasons I bought this car instead of cars with better safety rating:
1. Due to water logging in the area I reside in, this car better Ground Clearance than any other better safety rated car
2. Better reliability. Better safety rated cars still have reliability issues and I did not want to buy something which would be kept in SC for most of the time
3. Better after sales service quality is offered compared to safety rated cars
4. My driving is not rash, am a laid back driver with lot of patience. For my speeds, this car had good enough safety provisions.
5. Was awarded Indian Car of the Year for a reason
6. Space on offer is unmatched
7. Getting a scorpio or xuv in same budget would mean going for a lower variant and having to go for aftermarket parts even for basic things like front parking sensor (which apparently is not being offered at all in Skoda or Taigun top models even). Any aftermarket modification can cause electrical issues like it did with one of xuv700 owners and his car burnt down.
well i am impressed you are so sure that if you drive slower you won't get into an accident because you are not overspeeding.. well you should know even if you are the best driver in the world you can get into accidental situation without any fault of your own.. well had a accident with my skoda slavia .. had side front impact and type burst after a car from other side hit it on side while overtaking another car.. well it was 4 lane road and i was on side driving at around 50-60 kmph and an i10 came from other side at around 130 kmph.. i thought he would overtake is such a wide space.. but while overtaking it was rainy and his car skid and hit on my side.. i10 had a broken axel too as it was carrying 6 people.. when i saw i10 condition and my car condition i didn't feel inside i had big accident.. and got bumper side damage and tyre burst..
so don't assume you don't need a safe car.. well 15 years ago india had 1/10th cars it has now.. and 10 times more driver with fake driving licence too.. be safe in your tin can..
Kindly do not compromise on safety. Whatever your driving style, safety of car will save you when any idiot hit your car.

I was also planning to buy XUV700 and Scorpio N base varient, believe me they're giving only safety by compromising basic useful features. You can't even adjust second row forth to make room for third row seaters. Kushaq/ Tiguan are for 4 people only.
Carens is practical, spacious, equipped with almost all essential and safety features. Finally bought prestige plus 7DCT.
@@sudhirgovilkar1280 my friend carens had an accident with wagon r.. don't know details but it was head on at like 40 speed.. and carens ka nuksaan hi 2 lakh ka aaya.. well with zero deb still it was 20k... but it is a sensible car so it crashes like some tin can.. if it would be a xuv 700 or scorpio n.. then he said it would just be a bumper damage only.. well only 20% of cars are involved in some major accidents in lifetime.. so be sensible and pary to god you always remain in other 80% as you chose a tin can over tanks because you love features only..
there are safe and reliable cars available in both budget these days. Drive this car safely and avoid hughways.
carens is a people cruiser. and its doing the job well done.
Its huge as compared to creta,more roomy and feels more luxurious.
Now, hycross non hybrid is the best 7 seaters option if your driving is less...

Excellent video, Ravi. Awesome car, just bought this (April end 2024), very refined, not for aggressive driver, engine tuned for comfort and fuel efficiency, body roll is very well controlled (better than my 4th gen City) it has loads of lag which even the DCT can't mask. I noticed the user has'nt removed the white sticker on dash 😂 even after driving it for 1000 kms. First thing I did was remove all the plastic covers and protective stickers as they were giving a bad smell. It took sometime for that smell to go away. Have also added an car freshener. MID gives a very optimistic mileage it sometimes shows 12-14 kmpl in city. Haven't taken it on highway yet. Is this the Luxury Plus variant: noticed there's no seat ventilation in this? Have bought the same. Seat Ventilation is a boon in hot summers. Even with a full load doesn't feel under powered and pulls the same as with one or two on board...Best in class interior space management is the USP of this car...there's no vibration in pedal as far as I know...

I don't think that Turbo and Performance oriented engines are made for MPVs bcz these vehicles are for comfort and long travels not for Jhu-Jha, I guess that's why kia undertuned this engine in Carens, otherwise choose Diesel ( Non Ncr wale ) or NA, See Innova and Ertiga 😪😪😪😪😪

It does 0-100 in 9 something seconds maybe his dct is damaged due to poor handling remember dry clutch will get damaged if you ride it in b2b traffic I know people who put it on neutral whenever they stop to prevent this from happening also verna is 600kg lighter and a sedan therefore more aerodynamic of course there is a big difference with same engine compare to other suvs and mpvs with similar or weight

I cancelled my booking for carens and booked eartiga zxi+ now almost 7 month complete and i am happy the carnes is new car and safety ratings is not much different as carnes service cost is also one + point for eartiga compare to carnes and millage any day it will beat carnes

Ertiga is a good practical car too! My only concern was the low ground clearance of ertiga. There is issue of water logging even in slightest of rains where I reside 👍🏽

Kia Carens is nice car it has more space than scorpion n and XUV 700 in last row. I have purchased it after reviewing the above cars and have fitted after market cng kit in my Kia Carens and it runs smoothly.

खुद चलाया तब मालूम हुआ, 1500 CC का इंजन ठीक है पर पूरी बॉडी हल्की लगती हैं, 7 लोग बैठने के बाद भी लगता हैं कि काफी हल्की गाड़ी चला रहे हैं, 2 से 3 में शिफ्ट होते समय ज्यादा समय लगती है, ज़्यादा आरपीएम पे ले जाना पड़ता हैं। मजा नही आया।

Bhai, use it to full extent during outstation trips. One of the trips to Rishikesh took 11 hours due to traffic instead of regular 5 hours. Due to rear seats, we were able to travel comfortably and even convert them as a flat bed in order to take a nap and stretch legs. 🙂
And the best Judge award goes to rajatbudhiraja...saari budhi sir ke paas hai...baki log toh bas koshish kar rhe hai🙏
@@rishabh8279 yes thanks you, carens is based on grand i10 k1 platform unlike creta and alcazar, seltos which is on k2 platform. By adding 2 more seats and make that car bigger in size will compromise on dynamics and safety. That is the reason this car is cheaper than creata and seltos.
