This is a fun one. After a while, some names pop out at you. The writer George Plympton (not that one) probably wrote half the serials of the 40's. We get to see a few familiar faces and names-- Charles Trowbridge (who appeared in about as many serials in the 40's as Plympton wrote), Robert Armstrong, Regis Toomey and a couple of the East Side Kids (Bobby Jordan and Billy Benedict) thrown in as part of the quartet of heroes. Thanks for posting this one.
I used watch these Serials in the 50's--at my local "Bug-House"-we used to swap comics as well,--I used to have a "bag of chips,-small coke,& a choo-choo-bar thats all I needed in life !!--
I found the key to enjoying these serials is to watch the first half of the first chapter and the second half of the last chapter. Everything in between is just filler.

They sure didn't teach hand-to-hand combat skills to the cadets, did they. 😉

What the cadets couldn't phone Bolton of his impending trouble instead they steal a plane & fly to his office.

Hollywood was terrible even then. Storyline full of holes.
