How to Choose File Path Automatically in Alteryx?

In this video we will learn how to let Alteryx choose the file path automatically each time before running the workflow without us having the point to the input or output file. This will save a lot of time for us that we spend point to the files. This is a very useful trick when we have multiple files to input and get the output again in multiple files.

Hi I've got a question for a similar problem:
I've got the same file, with the same data structure, in the same folder each day, but with updated values for each day. So everyday I've got a new file with the name "xxxx_xx_xx_SampleData". The xxx indicates the date of the file - for example "2022_02_15_SampleData" for today.
Now I want Alteryx to find the newest version of the file in the folder for my daily workflow. Right now I have to assign the newest file each day manually because of the different names. But can Alteryx find the newest file automatically, if they are all in the same folder like in your video?

Hello Is there any way to Pick input file and place the output file from the remote shared drive.
Also how can we connect alteryx from remote server location. Any help is much appreciated.

does it mean, the folder has to be in Cdrive for this option to work? what if the folder name is changed from Alteryx "New" to something else. will it still work?
