    Hi Mat,
Riz here. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
    My questions :
    1. If i have mosaic screen (from ram issues) can i replace the whole ram with chips from another memory with same bus ?! (let’s say from MBP13 non retina/A1278). Coz I cannot figure it out which chips is bad (already try to reflow, working but not long lasting. After a week back to mosaic again & shutdown by itself)
    2. What memory brand you using to replace the defective memory in your videos ?!
    3. Let’s say my MBA13 2011 using 4GB RAM, can I upgrade to 8GB ?!
Using your method, replace all the chips & change it to 8GB RAM with same speed & bus.
    Thanks

Hi Riz, thank you for words "Thanks for sharing your knowledge." i really appreciate it and also your subscription. I see that you have similar problem like i had one time. Just i need to know on what exactly logic board are you working right now to help you resolve problem in your laptop. I can just share with you similar problem and what helped in my case. I had 13 inch Macbook pro 2012 model with 820-3115-B logic board. Laptop randomly started displaying artefacts on the screen then frizzed and finally switched off. After couple of tests i noticed that when i put laptop on something not straight i mean for example i have him on my legs in bed it occurs. More seldom when is on straight, flat surface like table. Then i was testing logic board and same issue occurred only when i was bending little bit logic board where RAM is placed. This model has two RAM slots for RAM sticks. RAM chips are not soldered on logic board. It means that i can throw away RAM sticks issues-why? Yes why. Its because i took ram sticks from another laptop which where they were working perfectly and i have checked in that one. After this test i was sure that problem is in other place. Then i decided to change solder on ram slots between them and logic board. I didn't replace all of them but only those which i was able. Lots of them is covered under plastic. After that my problem disappeared. Laptop was again working well. It means that problem was with joints between RAM slots and logic board. Maybe you have similar problem , maybe no. Please let me know what logic board you have to start thinking more. Thank you again

Hi Mat, thanks for super fast reply, really appreciate it.
      1. I'm working with MBA13 2011 (820-3023), famous for RAM issues.
Issues = Laptop randomly started displaying artefacts on the screen then frizzed and finally switched off.
(FYI, I've no problems with reballing or replace chips. I got all equipments to work with.
      2. For what i know this MBA using 4.0 GB PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3, so my theory (based on your video) i can replace the BAD chips with GOOD one from memory sticks with same speed & bus. Is this correct ?!
      3. If i want to upgrade the memory from 4GB to 8GB (from memory sticks), this is possible right ?!
Just put the 8GB chips to MBA & done......OR i need to do another task to make it working ?! (maybe re-write BIOS/SPI ROM or something else)
Maybe we can talk in private matters, hit me up on my email: rizki.bagus@gmail.com

Hi, now when i know what logic board do you have i can reply to your main comment. So point number 1: If reflow RAM helped first time it means that balls under chips were cracked but dont forget that on the other side of the logic board there is CPU responsible for graphics and all processes. He is mirrored to RAM chips. There can be cracked balls under RAM or CPU. I recommend try again reflow RAM to make sure that process was good. You can reball chips but it is a lot of work. If balls under CPU are cracked then you will do nothing. Its easy to overheat CPU. Point 2: I am sorry but i dont remember brand of used by me RAM chips in this video. They were the same like those from logic board. I have checked my stock and i finally found the same models. On the top of each chip you have informations what exactly model is it. Then you can use internet so search rest useful informations based of those from top of the chip. If you have knowledge in schematics you will easily find what RAM chips you can use on each logic board. Point 3: You can upgrade RAM, i mean change them to those with more capacity if your CPU will be compatible with them. On schematics you will find a lot of informations about actual RAM chips and then you can looking for another with similar specifications but bigger capacity.

Hi, in this model RAM is soldered to PCB. There is no RAM slots and no RAM sticks, just RAM chips together in one spot on logic board.

If ram is not shorted like in my situation and you got rid with cracked balls under RAM chips by reflowing them and you are sure that you did it properly, i would recommend you now to check if there is going 1.5V to RAM chips. Check it by using schematics and boardviews. Everything you will find in internet. I have checked now for you schematic for this model and cip which provide this voltage is number U7300 line =PPDDR_S3_REG with 1.5V. I have to go sleep. If you will have problems let me know and i will reply you in free time.
