Love the review! It’s especially cool to hear your thoughts on the racket that you immediately picked up and won an All England with! Thank you for your upload 😄
You actually think he went into the All England and used the for the racket for the first time? He must have had a good amount of practice with it beforehand, or it was simply a disguised DZS.
@@neeldhebar2350 No lol, obviously he practised, but it's a new release and he very soon he got a title with it, it's not meant to be taken so literally XD
I think both the Astrox ZZ and ZX are awesome. Obviously, there are some differences but I'm more inclined toward the ZZ just because Axelsen won The All England 2020 with it. Having said that however, both are really expensive rackets. In conclusion, no matter what racket you have it is down to the player to harness it and win badminton matches. Thanks for the review and hope to see you back playing badminton when the virus is over. ✌️🏸🏸
Quick update, I brought it couple weeks before and I can't even hit the shuttle right with the new YA100ZZ, looks like an update from YZF2 to YA100ZZ looks pretty hard for me, definitely because of my style of playing. Anyway the new YA100ZZ is given to one of my friends and he got a good touch with it, it's really giving him powerful shots as well. I went back to another YZF2 but 4u this time.
@@aniljoyk That's a shame. Sometimes you just have to put in more hours with a racquet to get used to it. It shouldn't technically be that different to a VoltrikZforce2. I wasn't entirely comfortable with my Astrox100zz at first, it seemed to have a bad effect on my shoulder and the racquet felt a lot slower and worse than my Nanospeed9900 and Nanoray800. But I forced myself to use it while waiting to get those racquets restrung (both strings went in the same session) and I am a lot more comfortable with it now, maybe a year after buying it and waiting.
Viktor, you should definitely explain flexible/stiff shaft and stringing tension in your reviews for these rackets. It'll be helpful coming from a pro for all those wanting to get into badminton on a deeper level.
Thanks for the review. This forced me to buy the Astrox 100 ZZ. Your other video on the gripping of the racket also made me switch to towel grip. Overall very happy with the racket and the grip :D
Hey Viktor!! Big fan here. Can you talk more about the 100ZX because in this video, you mostly talked about the 100ZZ. Compare also the specs of the two rackets 😄😄
If I can afford someday I will definitely buy it. You are a very good player and I am a big fan of yours. Maybe you can make a tutorial video on when to use different shots at different times during a match.
aloha viktor, awesome review so happy you are finding so much success with the zz. am seriously looking at these two racquets and am excited about the new technology incorporated in both. I admire your hard work not only as a badminton professional player, but as a person. Thank you. Your language skills in English and Chinese are awesome. wishing you much success in the future. stay safe and take care. A hui hou.
My badminton shop have three unit of 100zz and one of them feels like an even-balance racket. I get the Even-balanced feeling unit as that what I am comfortable using currently.
So what about the Duora Z Strike, do you just not use that anymore? Do you feel that the Astrox 100 has an equal/better balance for backhand and forehand than the Z Strike? Love if you would respond :)
I don't use the Z-strike anymore. However I thoroughly enjoyed using it! I like Astrox 100 a lot as well, but I still find myself using "one side" more than the other. Maybe it's because of the fact that the Z-strike was forehand/backhand. I do think Astrox100 is a great fit for me and my playing style! Great overall balance and power
I just bought this thing, fuckin amazing. Compared to my AX88D, the smash is more or less the same (88d has a bit of a sledgehammer feel). But serve/return, fast exchanges, defense and net play seemed to be a lot easier. Had some really tight net shots yesterday with it. I play doubles btw. I would say Astrox ZZ top is better...
Hello Viktor, maybe you can also share your comment on your badminton shoes. Do you still use 65Z2 or Cfz2? Looking forward to have your recommendation.
Somebody please tell me the a string tension which won't elongate the head. I strung two times 24/26 and 25/25, both time the head elongated. It felt horrible when the head is oval shape and change in tension from my usual. Anyone? Rqcket: Astrox 100 zx
This is not a review, it's a Yonex Promotional video. All you have is Victor saying how much he likes the Astrox 100ZZ, no explanation of the differences between the ZZ and ZX and why he prefers the ZZ.
I have an arcasaber 11 but i was used to use the duora z strike but i broke It, i was going tu take 2 of the z strike. World you reccomend to leave the z strike and take a Astrid 100?
If someone doesn't have strong forearm or wrist muscle power, do you think stiff racquets are too hard for them to use. Plus I am sure you are using high tension (30lbs +) so that requires a lot of the power to come from the player.
Thanks Viktor for sharing your thoughts on the Astrox 100 ZZ and ZX. Now I have a question - we all know your attacking playing style. Any reason why you did not choose the Voltric Z Force 2 which is an awesome offensive racquet? Did you find it too heavy and unwieldy? Waiting to hear your thoughts! Stay safe and healthy!
The Astrox series is meant to replace the Voltric series, so for commercial purposes he would play with the (much) newer AX100ZZ rather than the older VTZF2. Also, the Voltric can be described as "pure" head heavy aka the head is REALLY heavy therefore less forgiving. The AX series, in general, is a bit more user-friendly by having the Rotational Generator System which has a counterweight on the end of the handle, allowing the user to not feel so much strain during shots, as compared to the VT series lacking the type of counterweight, while still being head-heavy for those powerful attacks. The VTZF2 is not bad, though, but it's older, so of course, he would choose the newer AX100ZZ
@@johnngan3387 Not so much. I used to play with the Z-force II, and I can tell you the description Yonex uses to sell this racket is not so much wrong as misleading, that just saying head heavy stiff flex isn't the whole picture. Z force 2 feels a whole lot head heavier than astrox 100 zz because of the RGS of the Astrox 100zz, the feel is totally different even though the balance point isn't far off. The Astrox zz feels in fact like an even-balance racket but hits like a head-heavy racket. This is mostly a feature not a bug, apart from if you like to feel the shuttle. And it takes a bit of feel away for net play. The Astrox 100 zz plays totally different. I like the drops from it, its accurate, but i don't feel like it has anywhere near the raw power of the Z force ii. Its better on defence and the drives are really fast. you can play good doubles with it. The shuttle is really fast off the strings: you don't really feel the hits. (some like it. i'm not sure. old dog, new tricks...) the only real similarity in feel with the z force 2 is the shaft flex (extra stiff, but the rgs again makes the hits feel way different). Aesthetically, it has a thin shaft like Z force ii, and a little racket head like the z force 2 but still bigger & isometric. the big surprise is how short the shaft is. If you want an improved Z force II, astrox 99 pro. Slightly softer feel than the z force ii, more like the Armortec 900 Technique, another excellent racket. Long shaft but a big head. Swings feel more torque-y than z force 2, because of the flex (stiff rather than x stiff) and the rgs. big head, lots of bite on the stringbed so good for power players who want an unapologetic singles racket with very heavy power and great feel. More traditional feel than the astrox 100 zz, you feel the swing more. good touch, more honest feel. solid contacts. slow on defence and drives tho compared with 100 zz, but not awful. probably not a doubles racket but wtf, i played doubles with z force 2 3u. If you're a short power player, like a lcw or momota then go with the 99 pro. if you're lanky like victor try the 100 zz. thats my theory. :P
