Thanks for this. Google's own help documentation with the square brackets surrounding additional if targets was what was causing mistakes, your vid showed I didn't need them and it worked.

I used the formula: =IF(E10=TODAY(), "1") I wanted a field to have a number value ("1" in this formula) when the date of another field matches todays date, the E10 cell in this formula.
So, basically the formula says: When today's date = E10, place the text "1" into the field to which this formula is applied.
For my sheet, the "1" is a NUMBER field that gets added to another filed, that sums to add a dollar value to another field via another formula.
Oh my God, it was so simple, goddammit! Thanks, you saved my brain.

If what’s the best formula to use if your looking to count the accuracy averages. Like if you want to know if what’s the average of those who answered same with mine and those who have different. You are so perfectly clear in how these functions work, and in describing as many possible scenarios where it coul dbe used and where we could encounter bumps. So appreciated - awesome video. BUT!!! QUESTION!!! I can not seem to add up this new "ifs" column. After successfully entering an ifs formula that gives the cells a numerical value, I now want to add up all these values. I've tried the basic "sum(a1:a25)", but it keeps giving a value of zero. I also am struggling to find a google search relevant to this exact issue, as I keep getting results for "sumifs" and "countifs", and that's not what I'm doing. Any ideas?

Awesome tutorial! But, I was wondering if we could delete a row if it was blank or had no data in it.
I hope I will get my answer for the desired situation that is:
A condition in which we have to assign positive and negative numbers according to time for different time frames.
For Example.
If I need to mark the time below 9:00 as -2, in between 9:00 to 09:15 as 0 and above 9:15 as -2. And at last I would be able to calculate these points.
Could it be possible?

Hello, thank you for this video. I can't seem to find instructions for my specific needs. I am trying to assign a point or value system to text. So if the text is "APPR" each of that text name would = 1 point, and then I need to get totals for each text value. Please advise.
At 11:20 if you just use control shift down and then control d it will overwrite the column with new cell formula

You have a good cycle for getting into spreadsheets understanding it after relative databases and as an partial aim on the way to writing the same in scripts with GUI etc. But, it is still missing for me, how did you get an idea of identifiers in QUERY function?? I have read Google reference, but didn't got any except 1 in example mention

what if I want the true/false answer to be determined by subtracting two fields? for example Field A and B if B>A then I want it to say "gain" and subtract A from B If A>B I want it to say "loss" and subtract B from A would it look something like =if(B>A,"gain"A-B,"Loss"B-A) needless to say this didn';t work. 11-03-20 13:00 and 15-03-2020 15:00 how do I ask it if the result is less than 14 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds? to display YES This is to work out a refuinds formula. So if say someone ordered on 01/01/20 00:00 then if the cancellation is 14 days and they tried to cancel at 15/01/20 00:00:01 returns value NO. If you can solve that as it is the only thing I am struggling with. Done all the =QUERY(IMPORTRANGE etc. Many thanks
