    Great vid.
    I also enjoy how Ford, Dodge and Chevy guys are starting to respect each others cars rather than bickering about how theirs is better!

People who don't get butt hurt when they lose and just enjoy good runs and share your pride and joy.

    The srt and scat pack have the same exhaust no difference. The brakes also don't change in any of the settings. The brakes on my scat pack are the same as the srt also. The only difference between the srt and my scat pack is the flat bottom wheel and the adj. Suspension. That's it.

    • @RushShift

      So does the Scatpack exhaust valve open up fully in sport mode since they don’t have track?

    • @coop4274

      Rush SRT I have the tazer so I do have track mode just like the srt and hell cat. My scat pack has the Dynamics package so it has the bigger hellcat wheels tires and 6 piston brembos just like the srt and hellcat.

    As an Ex-Mustang owner, I've been looking at Charger 392's. Might put in an order for a '19. I loved my Mustang, but seems like Dodge has a more "raw" muscle car feel to their cars.

    • @sgthop
      @sgthop 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Can confirm. I have an 18 Mustang GT and an 18 Scat Pack Challenger. Numbers wise, they're very similar, but the way they make the power is different, and you can feel. They're both a lot of fun, mind. Winding that 5.0 out sounds amazing and is quite the thrill, but the brute force of the 392 is a special thing.

    • @sctm81
      @sctm81 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on whether you want the torque down low or up top. In normal (still legal) driving the scat pack may be more fun since you get the massive torque early. On a track or windy road where you're living in the upper rpms a mustang would be more fun.
      If you want torque down low AND up top you need a hellcat or gt500.

    why do so many young guys like slushbox autos?
    never met an auto that let me give it throttle without downshifting when I did not want it to.

    • @sgthop
      @sgthop 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you put it in manual mode it'll hold its gear. If you don't put it in manual mode, of course it's going to downshift. That's it's job. You're requesting more power, so the transmission is going to put itself in the most appropriate gear to get the power you want while straining the engine less.
      With regards to why people want them, it's because it's easier to drive, and most importantly, it's faster now. All of my cars have manuals, but a Mustang with a 10AT will beat one with the 6MT every day. A Challenger with an 8AT will beat one with a 6MT any day. It's very easy to see why fast cars come with them.

    • @nairbyad7188
      @nairbyad7188 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SergeantHop sure. But do you keep cars for many miles? A clutch is about a sixth of the cost of rebuilding an auto. If the acceleration difference matters so much, why don’t you get a 1000cc sports-bike? For under $20k you can smoke just about any car!

    • @sgthop
      @sgthop 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nairbyad7188 If costs were such a concern, would 90% of cars sold have an automatic transmission?
      If that's your response to the fact that autos are faster, why do sports cars even exist at all? A fast bike will always outrun even the highest performance cars. Let me rephrase about the speed though. Automatics are faster, more efficient, and easier to drive, while producing more consistent results because they do not rely on human interaction to do their job. Is it as fun to drive? No. But they're better for track cars and for commuting.

    • @nairbyad7188
      @nairbyad7188 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      how much faster are autos 0-100? is it really that much? look at how well the new civic type R did at Nürburgring with a manual!
      do you know that in europe, many people call all cars with automatics "american"? and they don't say it with admiration.
      i have to agree that i am confused why someone who likes sports cars would not want the added control of a manual.
      going downhill, i can tell when i'm following an automatic because the torque converter doesn't apply as much engine braking as a direct drive. (the control issue is multifaceted)
      i suspect it is the same reason many sports car enthusiasts don't do track days with sportsbikes which are of course more dangerous on the road, but so much more fun on track; coordination.

      @sgthop 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All three of them don't have resale value that's why you can pick up mustang GT(23-25K with under 30k miles for 2015) and camaro SS(22-24K with under 30k miles for a 2015) used all day long for 25K for a late model however a challenger scat pack(29-31k with under 30k miles for 2015) holds value much better than camaro or mustang but at the end of the day it's a mass produced muscle/sports car they are not going to hold value like crazy I don't know about reliability but if you are talking used resale market it doesn't take much to just look up on autotrader challengers hold their value much better.

    • @DuVey64

      Npc_Hydra3 scat pack ? I believe it ...RTs and SRTs not so ....

    • @brandonmoore9440
      @brandonmoore9440 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      well RT's are not really competitors anymore to the SS or GT and the SRT 392 is a "luxury" model of the big 6.4 and if you look at GT premiums or 2SS loaded camaros you will see the same they lose more value just because luxury trims always lose value as a new vehicle it's best (if you want to lose the lease percentage of depreciation) to buy pretty much a base or a few options GT SS or Scatpack but if you are buying used it's best to get a loaded GT SS or Scatpack/SRT392 since the srt you can get for about 5-6k more than a base used scatpack on average goes for. For me though a nice certified used mustang or camaro with low miles that is a couple years old for 23-24K is hard to beat for value.
