It took me no more than one minute to change the air filter on my 2019 Kia niro ev after watching this video. I did not even have to fully release the glove box cover. Took out both plastic screws and could fit my hand in there to swap out the filter. Thanks!
That's an option I didn't think of. On my Nissan LEAF it was so hard to get your hands in there that I always took out all 10 screws and dropped the glovebox. I'll have to try your shortcut next time. Thanks!
I always use Mann Cabin Air filters, type HEPA with activated carbon (which is de highest quality). Result: no fine particles inside cabin and no smelly exhaust fumes. It's an easy job to do (around 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle), not expensive ($15-20) and your health will benefit from it. I change the filter every 12-18 months (as soon as the activated carbon is 'consumed' you will smell exhaust fumes again).
