Hi! I can’t believe you were told such misinformation at Salon Centric 😱 so glad you came across our video and it was useful for you which is our goal - to help people💕
Hi Jackie 👋 Yes you can leave the mask in for longer than the recommended time. As far as leaving it on overnight, I know Olaplex states that for the 0+3 treatment it starts losing efficacy after 45 minutes or when the hair is dry so the same may be true with the mask because of the active ingredient. However, I don’t think it will hurt to try and see how it works for your hair specifically. If you do let me know. I should test that out too.
@@EverythingHairBrand Thank you so much!! I’m trying it as soon as today lol. I’ll let you know. Again thanks! Btw New subscriber found you thru google searching for info on the mask. Loving your content! 😉
Also could the number 8 be used instead of a conditioner ? Say if someone only washed their hair once or twice a week.? Thankyou for replying to messages
Hi @R B, the 4-IN-1 is a highly concentrated reparative mask that treats damaged hair that you can use to address severe cases of hair dryness. It has professional strength ceramides, oils, and amino acids. It is meant to be used in the salon as a deep conditioning treatment. N8 is similar to the 4-IN-1 but it will be less concentrated. It is also a mask that will focus on adding moisture, shine, and body to the hair without weighing it down to treat and smooth damaged hair.
@@helenalovelock1030 yes you can use the 4-IN-1 mask at home as often as you need to. It will be stronger and more concentrated than the N8 so it ultimately depends on your hair how often you will need to use it for your hair to remain moisturized and healthy looking. If your hair is pretty damaged and dry then you can go with the 4-IN-1 for a better reparative effect. If your hair is in relatively good condition, then you can maintain with the N8 mask and switch it out with N5(conditioner) periodically.
Hi Edith, it depends on your personal hair needs. Olaplex states their products are safe to use as often as possible because all hair can benefit from being healthier at any time. However, generally speaking if you have healthy hair free from chemical treatments, but you are still exposed to damage from the environment and styling- one treatment weekly to every other week. For color-treated hair, once weekly treatments are recommended. For highly compromised hair (coloring your hair too often, going through drastic color or texture changes, or regularly exposing your hair to thermal stylings) Olaplex recommends doing treatments as often a possible. Listen to your hair and what it is showing you it needs. If your hair is damaged, you can use it often to strengthen the fragile hair bonds and to add moisture back into the hair. Another benefit of this mask is that it is protein free.
Hi Erida, below is a general guideline that Olaplex put out for their treatments which you can refer to - If you have healthy hair free from chemical treatments, but you are still exposed to damage from the environment and styling- one treatment weekly to every other week. Hi Christina, the 4-in-1 mask is only available for sale to salon professionals. You can incorporate the treatment when you are doing a service. For instance, after a color or lightener service. Also after a stand alone treatment or simply as a deep conditioning treatment. For home use, you can use N8.

Hi Yesy, yes you can. On the days you use the 4-IN-1 you would replace it with N5. The mask will work in place of the conditioner as it is a deep conditioning treatment.

Hi Helena, I believe so because it is a more concentrated moisture mask than the N8. Olaplex states the 4-IN-1 contains a water-soluble silicone. Olaplex uses the highest quality, lowest molecular weight silicone that can easily be rinsed away. It is completely safe to use as often as needed and on all hair types, even curls.
@@EverythingHairBrand thank you that really helps and very assuring. I’m loving what I use so far from Olaplex. Can’t weight to try the 4-in1 on Monday as salon

Hi, yes it does. Here is the link with the ingredients www.cosmoprofbeauty.com/USA-021658.html From Olaplex- OLAPLEX 4-in-1 does contain a water-soluble silicone. It is not the silicone that makes it water soluble, but the molecular weight and grade that decides if it is water soluble. Because you are using a metered dose that fully absorbs, there is no residue left behind to weigh the hair down
Hey this is a good question. No.3 is a bond builder- it rebuilds bonds in the hair. It has a cream additive so it is a common misconception that it is a conditioning product. However, it does not hydrate the hair. You would use N3 to treat the hair and then the mask to add moisture and hydrate the hair.
Hi Rebeka, you can't compare the two products because they are formulated for different purposes. The 4-IN-1 is a moisture mask for hydration and N3 is a bond builder to repair the hair. N3 is not a conditioning product. You would use N3 to treat the hair and then the mask to add moisture and hydrate the hair.
If I were to use this on myself at home, would you recommend rotating this, and using olaplex 0 and 3? I usually use 0 and 3 everytime I wash my hair, but if I wanted to start using this I’m just debating where to put it in my routine at. I feel like doing all of it at one time would be unnecessary so maybe rotate days?
Hi Emma, the 4-IN-1 reparative mask can be used on its own or in conjunction with the other Olaplex products. Depending on the severity of your hair damage, for maximum results you can do the 0+3 treatment and then after you shampoo your hair you can add the 4-IN-1 moisture mask. I do agree with you it may not be necessary for you to do everything together every time since you mentioned you use the 0+3 treatment often plus it would be time consuming and not very convenient on a regular basis. You can try rotating and see how that works for you and you can always modify if you need to use it less or more. It’s best to use it after shampooing on towel dried hair so you can distribute it evenly and let it process for 10 minutes. When you’re in need of more moisture you can use it to replace #5. Let me know how you like it when you start using it :)
Hi @Sacha-lee Henry, to get the most from the mask you can try using a hooded dryer (which you can purchase on Amazon). Deep conditioning with heat works great if you don’t have severely damaged hair. You have to keep the mask on for a minimum of 10 minutes if you aren’t using heat. With heat, the reaction can speed up and you can periodically check your hair to see how long it needs for good results :)
