Hey Justin, do you plan on putting the rundown of box dimensions on your site like you did the previous cornscala? I was planning on building the previous version but I love the idea of a narrower three way version.
There is no such thing as going overboard on using real fasteners and cabinet bracing, quality wire when you are choosing top quality drivers. Go big or go home. I have used dynamat on woofer frames and the back of the magnet too and as a lining on the inside of my cabinets, and adding 1/2 inch rockwool on top of the dynamat to create layers of different densities within the cabinets and I’m pleased with the outcome and that’s all that matters to me 😉😂. Fantastic Speaker Project! Thanks for sharing
Does this use the 12LFA or 12LFC? Different TS parameters and low frequency capabilities. I would likely stay with a 2 way system since I can't hear much above 14KHz after 7 decades. My other question is why both this and the Cornscala D cross over at 500Hz when the recommended min for the horn is 800 ( I assume below 800, pattern control is lost )
Do you recommend insulation for the cabinet? I guess in theory, too much insulation would make the cabinets sound larger, which may be a bad thing. Have you experimented with this?
These speakers looks awesome !! Is it possible to buy the full speaker plan with crossover to build it back home ? Regards from Norway !!

You are the man!
These are SIIICK!

The horn and be measured to work really well down to 500hz, the larger question is what can the drive handle.
Great info.. ✌
Oblate spheroid lenses.
Shades of Earl Geddes

Insulation is a final step. Many times a little goes a long way... you can also snuff the life from the speak with too much.
can barely hear
I had to use Closed Caption.
