      You sir, are AMAZING!!!
      And yo' momma rocks!
Great job, you know what you need to do to get where your want in life, you know how to work hard to do things right and you know how to make a girl happy.
That is what it takes to be a happy man.
I'm not a man, but I know how to make one happy, or miserable... The man may wear the pants in the household, but we all know who he wants to get in them.... hey, just being honest.
You are definitely old enough to hear that.
Anyway, I'm really proud of ya, way to go 👍
Side note (my ex-boyfriend wasn't bright enough to do what you have done)

I just finished a deck using at least 4 new tips I didn’t know before and this job looked so much better and the home owner, who has 7 rental units (so they’ve worked with a lot of contractors), was elated with the strength and finish of her new deck! I live in Southern California and am cheap so I used 2x6x12 Doug fir for the decking with pressure treated 2x8’s for the framing. It’s all solid as a rock. I primed and painted the decking with exterior products so hopefully it will last along time. Thanks again.

Great job showing the clips and how you need to use them to suit your build type.
The reason there is two different kinds of clips, is you use one type each (solid and slip) for each horizontal member, when doing two horizontal rails. If you've ever installed a closet rod it's a similar thing, solid circle for one end of the rod and a circle where the top is cut out. For those horizontal 2x4 rails in that kit you would use one solid clip with one slip clip for each horizontal 2x4 rail. The directions I read had you attach the rail clips before installing the railing. Which if you install them that way you will need the slip side to rack your spindles followed by the top rail. I like to install the whole thing as a monolithic unit. ;) Great tips and tricks.

As a project recommendation, would you consider showing how to install metal interlocking weather stripping on exterior doors? This is the kind of hook and groove type metal interlocking weatherstripping usually made of strips of aluminum into routed out edges of the door that creates a lifelong seal around the door. This seems to be a lost art but saw it done once and it's the best seal I've ever seen. Can't seem to find an installation video anywhere on the web. Thanks and love your channel. Keep it up.

When drilling holes for rail, a little tip for holes: place a small drop of clear weather cocking in hole then place spindle in hole. The cocking helps hold from falling out should the hole be too deep,( if you didn't use painters tape), and it helps seal hole from water. Just helps sometimes. Great video as always brother!

I love your videos very good information. My only problem is that I can't stop watching once I start I will view one after another all day or all night. I watched the video on enclosing a screen in porch today and also on building a deck. I laughed for ever over the storm door handle keep up the great work and never loose your personality it's great.

Very Good! And a good sense of humor! I seem to remember you from This Old House? (PBS) I just finished my daughters deck, and it's perfect! Took me over 2 weeks! LOL

Good Video. I'm a subscriber and this guy has good tips. Gotta say though bad advice on safety glasses. Doesn't matter your experience eye protection is important for EVERYONE! I've seen the injuries in the shop to prove it.

First, I LOVE your videos! I've become a binge watcher. That being said- we were in a position where we have to "restore" our deck. After taking all the decking off, we unfortunately discovered the *entire* thing had to be scrapped as every bit of it was rotted. Super unsafe, so glad we got started on the project. That being said- I am going to have to shell out TONS of $$ for the structural lumbar (at todays insane prices). I was able to get a big load of *used* Trex from a neighbor for the decking & it is in decent shape. It was a HUGE score. That being said... It was originally installed with surface screws. I don't see any other way to install it BUT to use those holes & surface screws. In this case- what do you recommend (specifically) for hardware/screws? I plan to line the wood stringers with Trex Tape. Is there an adhesive I should shoot into the hole in the Trex before the screw? I plan to apply Rustoleum Composit Deck Refresh as the final step. I would love ANY suggestion you may have with regards to making my not stellar options the best they can be!

When you pulled out the two by four to frame out the lattice work I was thinking I don't know to each his own but I think it would look better to use 3/4 in material but when you showed us the technique with the 2x4 I said to myself myself I think he's got something there

Your videos are great and so helpful. Thank you for these. Just wish I found you before I built my 12 x 16 deck. Which started as 24 on center because of a plan that a woman in the Midwest that used 2 x 4s as deck boards. Ended up becoming 12 on center by the time I found my error. You were helpful to build part of my railing which came out perfect.

Also worth noting that with composite, it's recommended to use 12" joists

Hi Jeff, you are a great presentor. Your explanations of the whole process are great. It's like watching a tv show. I think it's too. Long for a single video, I think that if you cut it to "episodes" it will be easier for the viewers and people will be able to watch certain episodes that are more oriented to what they need. You'll also get more views per video and to your channel. Your channel is great and the editing is fun and gets you to keep watching. I'm from israel, worked for three months in deck installations and still learned a couple of stuff. If you're interested I'd like to create Hebrew subtitles for the video. Keep on the great work you do and good luck with the business
