CAVITE-LAGUNA EXPRESSWAY (CALAX) PROJECT
Project Description:
The project is a 44.58 km. four (4)-lane closed-system tolled expressway connecting CAVITEX and SLEX. The project will start from the CAVITEX in Kawit, Cavite and end at the SLEX-Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan, Laguna. The project will have the following subsections:

-Private sector to finance, construct, operate and maintain the entire expressway.
Concession Period: 35 years (including 5 years design and construction)
Start of Concession Period: July 10, 2015 (TCA Signing Date)
Right of Way:
60 meters, except for Laguna Techno Park & Laguna Boulevard (40 meters), and Greenfield Development Corporation (50 meters).
Interchanges:
8 interchanges and 1 toll barrierr
Bridges:
3,575 meters inclusive of 444 meters of viaduct
Project Objectives:
This project aims to:
· Support national development policy and provide efficient transport facilities for the Eco-zones in Cavite and Laguna.
· Reduce traffic congestion particularly in Governor’s Drive, Aguinaldo Highway and Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road which are heavily congested.
· Improve competitiveness of Region IV-A/CALABARZON as an investment destination.
Project Benefits:
At the end of construction, the project is expected to:
Reduce travel time from CAVITEX (Kawit) to SLEX (Mamplasan Interchange in Biñan, Laguna) from 2 hours to 35 minutes (70% reduction).

Subsections 8, 7 and 6 (Sta. Rosa to Mamplasan) were partially opened to traffic on October 30, 2019.
Toll Operation Permit (TOP) was issued last February 7, 2020 for Subsections 8, 7 and 6.
Toll Operation Permit (TOP) was issued last June 18, 2021 for Subsection5

Tama jan po interchange. Mapapansin nyo sa areal shot nasa left po poss8ble entry at 3xit sa tabi ng shell station. Gumawa po sila ng bridge jan gawa na. Ung nakikita nyong maliliit na poste sa allignment at para sa tulay, sa ilalim daan pa exit dugtong dun sa bridge na ginawa

Wla po interchange sa Arnaldo Open canal. Viaduct po ang calax dun sa ibabaw tatawid. Sa open canal po ang interchange jan po sa may Shell station katabi. Pagitan ng shell at tulay
