I was getting so used to thick Brandy this threw me off just a tad I was all here for it though and the fact that she's got braces and she sings with her braces now and I find that weird when people sing like they have braces and they sing with them so their mouth moves differently and as a singer I'm like it's just the same as if you have false or dentures and I'm like sing as you normally sing the reason they placed them there is not to change your mouth just straighten your teeth

This movie, this version, with its color and representation and humor and *heart* has been everything to me, and this was such a wonderful showing. I was unable to get through this without crying whilst singing along! This movie gave me some of the best moments of my childhood! It gave me a connection with my bio mom that I’ll forever be thankful for! It allowed me to believe that my brown skin and braids could be beautiful during a time when that wasn’t the norm. I spent so long trying to change everything I thought made me look more “black,” I straightened my hair and wore what all my white friends were wearing! This movie gave me hope that someday I could be a princess too and win the prince’s heart!

I was unable to get through this without crying whilst singing along! This movie gave me some of the best moments of my childhood! It gave me a connection with my bio mom that I’ll forever be thankful for! It allowed me to believe that my brown skin and braids could be beautiful during a time when that wasn’t the norm. I spent so long trying to change everything I thought made me look more “black,” I straightened my hair and wore what all my white friends were wearing! This movie gave me hope that someday I could be a princess too and win the prince’s heart!

This Medley is beautifully done. Todrick is a very talented and creative individual(loved the Wizard of Ahhs he did with Pentatonix) And to have Brandy there to reprise her role made me squeal with delight. not to mention having the whole original minus the two that have since left us was magically to any one who loved the original movie
