I love your book the INVITING LIFE ! You make everything welcoming, warm, gracious, fun... I make a dinner with candlelight every night for my retired husband and me. It is my performance and I think of the food as characters in my play and I often dress them up for the occasion. We especially love your swisschard savory tart...it is a party.
Actually I have known you since when I was a kid because I love watching your French Food At Home. I would always watch that without miss, I just watched again because I've been missing the old days, finding back the memories ❤️ Thank you so much Laura, for giving me so much memories
My friend had a similar fate in her second marriage and she had twin girls, and they bought a farm. Her girls are involved since babies with the farm work, the food prep, and that they were all living an Inviting Life. It's making it lovely for you and your family, no pressure, just go with the flow. Don't feel you have to have to have exquisite presentations at dinner parties et al -- really, your friends don't care and if they do and are critical, they re not your friends.
Hi Laura, inside today avoiding a heat wave in the northwest, and I needed some inspiration for dinner so looked for you on TH-cam. So happy I ran across your new channel. I have watched French food at home, probably every episode and some watched many times. My handmade cookbook is full of your recipes that I've made over and over. Your recipe for French Boule has been made more times than I can count. It is an absolute must when I make your recipe for French onion soup. It just must be topped with that delicious bread. So happy to find you again and discover that you are now married. Peter seems like a wonderful man and I'm so happy for you.
That was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to you both answering more questions from your viewers. How "OK" is it to do the American knife-fork way of eating vs. the French knife-fork way of eating at French meals? My parents taught me both growing up, but I, definitely, favor the American way of dealing with food with a knife and fork.
Looking good, Peter. 👍
Thanks for the reminder that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be lovely!!
