Thanks for sharing, i don't often need to wash my eggs, but it's been raining here and we let the chickens free range across the property here in the fall. They love digging through the leaves, but they're getting so muddy!
I didn't know how the water temperature affects the eggs bacterial protection, that's so cool! Just wanted to add that storing your eggs on the door does make the air leave faster than if you had them on the shelf, making them go bad faster. Great video !
Glad it helped! There is a little egg cleaning scrubby tool that makes the job less gross. Not necessary, but helpful so you don’t have to touch the yuck. We have a video about it on our channel if you want to check it out.
We have about 40 ish. I honestly don’t know but it’s around there. During the productive time of year we get a lot of eggs. They are almost in their molt now so production has slowed.
We use HOT water and a weak chlorine solution. It’s the system required by the State of Wyoming for eggs sold to the public. Keep the nests clean and you won’t have dirty eggs.
Do you mean during the float test? Yeah, I should have used bigger glass bowls with flat bottoms. It was a bit hard to show off the eggs in the narrow cups. Give it a try sometimes though because that test works!
I really liked that you showed everything you were describing, leaving no room for doubts. Thank you!😊
Glad it was helpful!
I solved the refrigerator problem buy buying an extra one and putting it in the basement. LOL
Nice! That is a must have, especially when they accumulate.

How many chickens do you have? I get 24 to 40 per week (mix of duck and chicken). We consume 12 to 18 per day if someone cooks breakfast lol.

Anybody else had bad eggs that did not float?
Yes I have but I still eat them with no problem
I thought they should be stored pointy side down?
Yes pointy side down is recommended.
She does "point" that out at 4:00.
You're pretty 😊, from Texas...,

Great to hear what is required in certain states! Thanks for sharing!
If we sell ours, our city laws require us to wash and sterilize ours
How do you sterilize?
@artelisx we don't sell ours but some people use I think the ratio is 1 tbsp bleach pet gallon of water, dip 7 seconds
Stores use bleach as sterilize method too
Is it just me or did she just move those eggs to the position she needed Them to be in plain eyesight 😂😂😂😅
