Nakhon Pathom Temple Festival at Wat Phra Pathom Chedi takes place every year for 9 days in December.
You’ll find many items and souvenirs on sale, from cheap clothes to children’s toys, and phone cases.
The market is HUGE. The platform on which the stupa sits is a square structure, and the market encompasses all 4 sides of it. In addition to that, there are many twists and turns that branch out from the main area of the market. You will surely get lost if you aren’t paying attention to where you’re going.
And that’s okay because I got lost too.
Nakhon Pathom is about an hour away from Bangkok by car.
If you don’t have access to your own car you can take a van at BTS Victory Monument which will take you to a nearby Big C grocery store and you’ll have to take another 5 minute motorbike taxi to get to the temple.
I recommend booking a train from your current destination to Nakhon Pathom as it is the cheapest option and takes roughly the same time as travelling by car (~1 hour).

How long is this event Chon? Would they have it in January?
Chon wrote there "Every year for 9 days in December" but it was November 5 to November 13 on 2022. So search online for Annual Wat Phra Pathom Chedi Festival before you plan your visit.
May I have the exact date for the 9 days? TQ
They were seling scorpian at Ratchathewi last week, I ran way from the stall incase they offered me to taste. I wouod have been to scared to be impolite and refuse 😂
