Hi Team.. I copied the setting exactly from the video to the plugin. 3:04 The sounds are very cheesy compared to the video. I'm doing anything wrong? Can you provide how to get the same sounds out of the plug-in like in your video? Thanks a lot!
3:04 is essentially the startup preset ("standard" something). just opened the plugin again to check and it sounds pretty much identical, while of course it depends a bit on the applied velocity because that affects which samples exactly are triggered - i usually use velocities around 100-110, so maybe that helps? of course what also affects the sound are the settings in the individual tabs (which cant all be seen in the video), i.e. a likely parameter to experiment with would be the compression on the room microphone bus to try to match this.
Looks and sound great! Thank you for the video. Beside the drums we hear bass lines and guitar grooves. Are they come from other ujam instruments? Are the Ujam instruments made for instant live playing and improvising? Can I play along mit hardware keyboard the the Ujam instruments (VST) follow the improvised play in changing automatically fitting chords, bass lines and so on?
Hi Peter, Thanks for your feedback! Virtual Bassist DANDY was be used a lot for besides the drum for the bass. Our instruments work very well for live playing and improvising and especially in a combination with a hardware keyboard! Just try it out for your self with our 30-day free trial: www.ujam.com/drummer/deep/

@@ujamInstruments Would be nice to know what exactly the processing chain was; also, to use post processing in a product sound demo but not mentioning that fact is kind of misleading. I was under the impression the sound in the video was how it would sound out of the box - to use post processing after the fact kind of defeats the purpose of a sound demo; afterall, you can beef up almost any sound of any plugin with processing, so if we can't hear how the plugin sounds out of the box the whole video is kind of pointless.
@@beatz04 guy who made the video here - yes, there is some master bus processing, but certainly no "beefing up" going on. basically, what i use in all these videos is a mastering limiter (to kind of "marry" the sounds with my endless brabbling), and a bit of eq (no fancy analog modeling but just a sober fabfilter q3 to slightly correct for overall frequency curve) when all music is said and done. also, if you listen closely, you will hear a sidechain compressor that reduces the music whenever i talk. stuff like that. but no fancy pants plugins that drastically change the sound. if you take a look at the demo, you will hopefully find that theres no fundamental difference. i am certainly not trying to cheat! I don't understand how the patterns/midi work. Are they based on some standard midi layout? Can I import more midi patterns? Can I export the patterns and play an arrangement made in Ujam drums with my own samples? Please advise.
Hi SG! Think of our patterns like loops you can stack, re-arrange and edit. MIDI Drag and Drop will allow you to edit them in detail. The patterns are ordered by song elements e.g. (verse, chorus, fills) in your piano roll between C3-C5. With the one shots between C1-C3 you can create your own patterns. Unfortunaley exporting the patterns with your own samples will not work, therefore you can exchange the patterns in between different Beatmaker titles. Try it yourself as we offer 30-days full version trial with all our plugins!
In "Latch" mode, the phrase will keep repeating until you hit a different key. Perfect for hand-free jamming, it will also glue your fills and chorus patterns together!
