ASSEMBLY TIP! I forgot to mention this in the video but for those of you having trouble assembling Infinity's metal models, the problem is most likely the mold-release agent! Soak these models in water with a dash of dish detergent, scrub them with a toothbrush, and rinse with water before assembling! It really makes a difference here!
Another trick is scoring a little the areas of contact with a xacto knife. It helps the glue bond better it the surface has some imperfections than if it is just perfect flat metal.
Infinity and Malifaux are probably some of the most criminally underrated miniatures & games on the market, so glad when they get any representation on youtube
I've been crusading for Infinity for years! People say it's "complex" and too rules intensive, but like fellow gamer, the amount of knowledge you need to know in other popular wargames dwarf Infinity in sheer volume of rules!
They are small made from very annoying materials for steep price. You get 4 28mm guys cast in metal for the 80% of the infantry box from AoS. Like cmon...

They are the most mechanically sound games I've ever played by a long way. Infinity's issue is the amount of terrain needed and you have to know how to set it up right to not give one side a big advantage. Malifaux is almost perfect though. Love that game
I haven't read all the comments but in case you didn't know and people haven't mentioned: Infinity is a fully free game. The rules are free, the army lists are free. 100% full rules for free. The army-builder website and app includes free cloud storage. Also, if you find that Torchlight is not the faction for you, but you like the models, you can use them to proxy another Infinity army. Proxying using CB minis is officially enshrined in the organized play rules, a seasonal set of missions that are, you guessed it, squaaaaarespa... Free. They're free, is what I mean. omg yes!!! I love Infinity so much, excellent models, incredible lore, super in-depth mechanics, and honestly a pretty unique near-future cyberpunk-in-space aesthetic for all that it pulls from other popular media. I started a local group for it, though the difficulty of stocking the models in the US has held us back
As you say, Infinity minis are designed in such a way that they can be used in any sci-fi setting without seeming out of place, however when you see these characters together they do look like a coherent unit. Think about the pictures of the American soldiers in Vietnam (or the crew in Apocalypse now) they look like individuals in the way they dress and act but the common uniform elements they wear does identify them as a unit. Glad you have discovered this game, they have an amazing world building with multiple games in the same setting.
I love how your models turned out! They totally fit in with the cyberpunk aesthetic of the Infinity world. Those colors are gonna pop on the table in any game they're in! Infinity is really engaging for both players since you can counter your opponent during their actions. If you decide to give it a try, they have a simplified rule set called Code One. It's a good starting point before learning more advanced rules, which can be overwhelming for new players. The Code One rule set is also great to use even after playing the full N4 rules if you're looking to play a shorter game.
I'm so happy you are looking at Infinity! The game is really fun, and there are so many cool miniatures in the game, I hope to see more of the game from your channel!
Infinity miniatures (Corvis Belli) are great. I use them for Five Parsecs from Home and other skirmish games. The metal minis are challenging but fun to put together.
Thank you so much for giving some exposure to Infinity in your channel! Love the paint job, it is great to see color schemes outside of the official box art, it gives so many ideas.
Hey, just got to the bit where you reused pill refuse for the basing materials. Just wanted to say I love your work and your style. Always excited to get more content from you. Hope this helps brighten your day a bit. ♥
I have several infinity armies and love the minis and CB. Good to see them getting more exposure. Insane amount of detail and just great looking minis.
Gah so many cool things are pulling my attention! Your paint job looks great and now my box of unfinished Infinity CodeOne minis is really pulling me in.
It’s interesting to hear that this is one of your first instances of siocast. I feel like most of the stuff I’m painting these days is either siocast or 3d printed. Im also finding myself gravitated more towards small scale companies which I’m sure is the biggest factor for siocast, making production easier for small companies like knight models and monster fight club. The only plastic kits im doing at this point is atomic mass games
Explorians is a great Lego set for the Torchlight Brigade. Infinity is my favorite minis game of all time and I am so happy to see them on your channel. Looking forward to more!
Infinity is a great game. I've been playing for years and O-12 for about 6 months. Funny thing, I have a green and white colors based on Buzz Lightyear and the Space Rangers! I also used mine for Stargrave. Yours's have a great cyberpunk look to them.
While I understand why they sent you the new "space marines" faction because of your warhammer focus it feels like a missed opportunity considering you as an artist lol. Should have probably sent you the Nomad reinforcement bundle haha. That said, amazingly glorious Lego Space Police paint scheme. My only disappointment is they don't have the bright yellow skin tones!
Dana's SquareSpace intros are like Jay from eons of battle "How" during his weekly catch up I get a joy out of hearing the different ways it's announced 😂
Ohh! I've been getting into painting infinity in the last while. It's cool to see it popping up here! I'd be curious to see what faction you'd go for it you were picking for yourself.
It's not an Adepticon special bundle, it's just the regular pre-order bundle of the Torchlight Brigade. The bounty hunter is the pre-order exclusive (and a really cool model!)
6:18 I see you too practice the art of turning “medical waste” into crafting material! 😂 I’ve been surprised by how much of my medial waste has found its way into one project or another. 😅
I always spend hours finding a color scheme and just end up using the studio color scheme and just modify the base and mid tone colors a bit to how I would paint them. I like yours, I would be happy to square off against them with my space knights....as soon as I finish painting them.
Oooh the exclusive 'robot with a baseball cap' mini looks sick! Hopefully it'll show up at other gaming cons. I started out miniature painting wanting character models with a cyberpunk theme, and Infinity came in clutch! Even as recently as 2020 it felt real hard to find minis in that genre. I now have a number of 0-12 infinity minis since I love their character design (I love that they're cops less, but I can say mine are pulp-scifi space detectives haha)
There was a flgs in Swansea Wales UK Dana, where I used to go and they seemed very keen to promote Infinity and a few other Corvus Beli games as a natural alternative to Warhammer 40'k and I wish I had got in to it back then in the late 1990s . I would probably have quite a sizeable \decent collection of those models now and I would be able to put on quite a decent game if I had been collecting for all the intervening odd 20 or 30 years now. I think I missed the boat there with that one ? 😢😖
I find your painting style interesting and colourful, but not how I paint, then I paint in more of a GW style because that is what I learnt from in the 1990's and early 2000's. I must say I have learnt a lot of new techniques from watching your videos.
The video and painting are delightful as always, but your use of anti-depressant medication packaging as "sci-fi" basing material made me belly laugh. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll have to give it a try with mine.
I often feel like I miss the early days of Rogue Trader when it was a skirmish game rather than the mass combat game it has become. Obviously GW 's Kill Team is the supposed antidote to the mass combats and huge collections you need for Warhammer 40'K but this seems like a much more genuine and appealing alternative .
Actually just got into Infinity myself, despite the fact i've known about them for yeaaars now....And I totally got the "Wait...These are actually really cool!" thing too 😅 The irony that the diversity involved in the setting is head and shoulders above warhammer isn't lost on me either.
Note: unless they've changed their casting alloy, Infinity figures do contain lead... It's not a bad thing, and is part of the reason why their casts are so nice, but precautions should be taken when filing and sanding these figures.
I 100% agree with you about lead minis, precautions should be taken! But these minis say on the package "Lead-free product" and after doing some digging, it looks like Infinity switched over a few years ago to lead-free metal!
When you showed that Lego Space Police set I had the most severe flashbacks to my childhood and now I also need anti-depressives. The set was nice though
90s Lego Space Themes have such good color schemes to draw from. My Leagues of Votaan Kill Team are Ice Planet themed, yes because of the meme. These came out great! The anti depressant packaging made for great basing haha! Also, hey I hope things are ok!
The only thing you missed are the 3 markers on the base. I would paint them white then a bright green color to make them stand out against the black rim of the base.
Used newsh once as instructed, and it peeled paint right off. That shit went straight in the trash I went straight back to oil. Oils have never let me down once.
Without Infinity I owuld have stopped playing miniature games. Its a very good but complex game. The miniatures are absolutly amazing I highly recommend trying it out. The core mechncis are learned in less then 15 mins. The rules are free and a single starter box gets your very, very far.

(And Corvus Belli has his screwed Up Idea of an positiioning-Situation.) So: Im just trying to find out, how to put my Yu Jing troops together. XD
The way I tend to do it is to mostly cut off the majority of the metal bar that connects the feet on most Infinity minis, leaving it just where it connects to the feet... then round it out with a file until it's basically foot pegs. touch a bit of white paint onto the tip of the pegs, position the mini over the base, facing my preferred direction, and then press down to "stamp" the pegs. I now have white marks in the right place to drill into the base and I can mount the figure
