I m a Ferrari ( and Alonso ) fan, but i really love ur videos ! ( like all the red bull videos in fact :p ) RedBull and Renault make un amazing work, really, gg.
1) Awesome video 2) Am I the only one who thinks that none of the other F1 team creates videos like this showing the factory & their manufacturing insights. 3) Am I the only one who stop breathing for the past 3mins 15sec. V4ttel GO GO GO!!!!!!
Well this was misleading i thought they where going to teach me how to build an actual f1 car....thats what I wanted to know. I guess I'm going to have to do more digging.
Cad software developers and users often are reluctant to update the software to the latest and greatest OSes due to reliability. XP is well long tested and understood, and rock solid stable. I'm not saying 7 ot 8 is unreliable, its just not as "tried and true" as XP.
I wouldn't say he's a kid, I would say he's inexperienced at life. But he is still a Formula 1 driver and should treat other drivers with respect. Like Lewis Hamilton does.
Awesome video!!! I have a question though. I am an aspiring engineer and I am currently attending college for mechanical engineering. How exactly can someone like me get into the world of motor sports engineering and be able to work at a team such as Red Bull?
Red Bull, why did you allow third-party ads on this video? Why are you allowing ads for questionable products from small companies to obscure and distract viewers from your own content, which has vastly superior marketing value? That's just crazy. Think about it. The video itself is great, though. Thanks for making it and sharing it with us here.
I'm new to the sport, and have a question I hope someone can answer: If each team designs their own machine, how is it they all look so very similar to other cars each year? I know the FIA has guidelines to follow, but does that translate to all cars looking so similar that they could easily be mistaken as being the same design? Things like the front and rear wings look the same on all cars, so I imagine that's part of the FIA-required parts. _So is it that things like body shape and wings are predetermined by the FIA, and the rest of the car is where the teams have leeway?_ I sure hope someone sees this and can answer. Thanks in advance!
Not sure if you already found the answer but here is my explaination: The FIA indeed has guideliness on the desingn of the car and these guideliness have been increased over the past years. This means designs are generally more similar since there is less and less 'freedom' in the design nowadays. If you look at older seasons in f1, there is a lot more differences between the cars. There are also a lot of videos on youtube about these designs back in the day (e.x. some teams trying out cars with six wheels, x wings, double front wings, and other weird designs). > So is it that things like body shape and wings are predetermined by the FIA, and the rest of the car is where the teams have leeway? Some parts are standard and teams cannot change those but most of them are guidelines where you can still change the part, but to a certain extend. Another big thing (and you will deffinetly hear that in those videos too) is that other teams are really fast to copy designs from others if they seem to work well. A good example of this is the z-floor design this season, that teams copied after a few races from teams that started with it. Of course there is also a limit on how much you can copy from other teams and how much you can change during the season but this is also another reason cars look very similar. Especially in 2020 there was a big controversy around Racing Point (now Aston Martin) since their car was almost an exact copy of the Mercedes car. Back then it was also called the pink Mercedes! Also remember these cars evolved over multiple seasons and at some point there can only be smaller improvements. I'd like to end this by saying 2022 will have a big regulation change on the airodynamics of the car, which means there is a possibility that cars will look very different from eacht other again, but expect those differences to decrease again over the following races/seasons!
@@officialdjnoel No, I hadn't found the answer. Damn good explanation, man. I appreciate you taking the time to help an F1 noob understand part of the sport.
that is a shit ton of money going into an F1 car, just for R&D alone. Add in the salary of everyone putting the man (or woman) hours into the design, cost for actual production, cost for race entry, fuel, tires, travels, etc. No wonder teams need deep deep pockets in order to succeed.
+Austin Whitecotton Well they have to get the car inside the tunnel for a starter and it's probably not needed, at 60% size it probably represent the aerodynamics of a real car.
You can just scale up the numbers in the equations as if it was bigger and get the same results, that's just how the math works. It's cheaper and faster to build it smaller.
Ok now that i know the basics of making an F1 car does anyone have a billion or two so i can built an F1 team? First i need some millions so i can get one of those "Newey" things that first design the car and then all the other people and machines.
thats a little strong, you dont even know him lol. you cant base how somebody is at work with who they necessarily are as a person outside of it. to win 3 wdc you have to be cutthroat.
Absolutely die hard formula 1 fan stuff!!! Please please give us more peeks of such marvellous engineering!

Great to see videos like this! Really gives me as a fan a better inside perspective. It's awesome that you guys put out videos like these! Cheers!

US F1 fan, love it! Go Webbo!
19 of the other F1 drivers disliked this and Kimi just doesn't give a shit..
Awesome, keep it coming please

Very intresting! Good video.
Even though I am a FERRARISTA, this was a great video. You have earned my like.

it said making not design
Well technically they did, just buy the red bull team and then tell Christian Horner to make it happen. Pretty simple really.
well this is desighning maybe watch next episode
oppps
next parts probably gonna?
Increíble que todavía existan diseñadores que usen papel y lápiz...

nice one ...wheres part 2

red bull should have a contest for who can make the best and fastest f1 car
is it me or that rockstar build up to the DRD team and its just Ted from down the pub, in his white shirt, on the computer, designing F1 cars lol

8 years on. Did you get to follow your dreams in motor sport
First For Vettel ;)

where's part 2?!
I was a big Ferrari fan before this moment..... But Now... mmm.... RELBULL..!
Vettel on pole. Hope he wins Singapore:-)
Did Christian realigning his teeth since 2014?
I wish i work der some day 🙄🙄🙄😲😲😲
and after testing it on the rigs... we put them in webbers car to save money
They use supercomputers with Windows XP operating system (0:48)...something's missing from this picture

that's why RB is better than Ferrari.
and i'm a fan of Ferrari
5 months for a new caR??
Very Engineering
He's in his twenties, NOT a kid.
Now imagine marussia
How to make an f1 cars..simple take an f1 car (also a marussia) call Pirelli and ask 2012 tyre..then take an illegal TC..and u have an RB Car!..
To bad KERS is always an afterthought, I hope it will be beter in 2014.
vettel best
why is the wind tunnel mock up only 60% actual size?? do they not have a tunnel large enough
+Austin Whitecotton Well they have to get the car inside the tunnel for a starter and it's probably not needed, at 60% size it probably represent the aerodynamics of a real car.
Also it's MUCH MUCH cheaper and less wasted resources building a 60% design so they have more cash to design more.
You can just scale up the numbers in the equations as if it was bigger and get the same results, that's just how the math works. It's cheaper and faster to build it smaller.
all 17 thumbs down are from other F1 teams
1:05 Someone no good with computers
He actually won with an advantage of 31 seconds LOL
Funny thing is, he has already won it, by 2.5 seconds advantage, per lap. LOL.

Aero Dude
For being a team owner? I have my doubts.
Business planning more likely and i already have a diploma for that.
Who’s here in 2021 where red bull has copy and pasted there design many times
Windows XP!) Я понимаю почему Mercedes выиграл все в этом сезоне! Если честно, то можно хотя бы на 7 32 перейти! Товарищи! 21 век!)
and that is the elaborate and very fancyway that red bull does a shit job every year

who cares about mercedes? this is red bulls channel

Motor racing is no longer dangerous. Zzz..
Why to post How to make "an" F1 car. Doesn't make sense.
Sorry in advance if I am wrong.
why they are using windows xp ???? WTF?!?! haha that's weird!

you guys should rewatch your own videos
there's NOTHING in this video about 'how to make an F1 car' or ANY design aspects. lame.
Well, ummm you know. . . were ummmmm... gonna try to win by racing and devloping the caaar.
Hilarious waste of time on these videos Red Bull.
