You mention not reaching escape velocity as the reason that the HARP's projectile couldn't stay in space, and that's just not true. Escape velocity is the velocity required to leave Earth's sphere of influence, or in other words to put it in direct orbit of the Sun. Orbital velocity (the velocity required to keep from falling to the ground) is significantly lower, less than 8 km/s at the ISS's altitude. Of course, you need more than orbital velocity to stay in orbit. If you are traveling at Earth escape velocity, you will leave Earth's sphere of influence no matter what direction you travel, as long as you don't crash into the planet. If you are traveling at orbital velocity, however, you need to be moving more or less tangential to the planet to avoid crashing into it. This is a significant problem for satellites launched from the ground, since they will always have an "orbit" which intersects the ground (unless they have an onboard rocket engine for orbital insertion).

Sorry found a slight error in your video. You said that you'd need to reach escape velocity to stay in space (which is something like 11km/s), this isn't true. This is only true if you're aiming to get outside$(completely) of the gravitational field produced by the earth (aka going infinite distance away from the earth). To get into orbit you only need to reach a fraction of this speed depending on the altitude of the orbit required.
antwerp 330 No, escape velocity (11 km/sec) is the minimum speed at which a body must travel such that it experiences absolutely no force of gravity from that particular planet whatsoever. (Potential Energy=0 at infinity) This is not the speed that has to be attained to simply reach space. That speed is far lower.
Neither of those are, or have guns eveen within the universe. A gun fires a projectile with an explosion, you're talking about fantasy energy weapons not theoretically possible artillery
Another Nazi supergun was the V3 cannon. It was designed to bombard London from northern France and was 130m long, which would have made it the longest gun ever on this list that has actually been built/used.
As far as i understand it the guns were built, and were first test fired in Germany and were planned to be disassembled and then reassembled in a military base in northern France. However the guns were 50% too weak to hit London from France and the base was bombed into oblivion before the project could be completed. One barrel did actually see combat though and in the battle the bulge it fired 44 rounds from Germany before being destroyed.
@AlphaNapalmBravo22 Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life... He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.
there were also plans to mount those guns on battleships and use them to bomb london. would probs hurt to get hit with a 7000kg he-shell every 30 minutes. now imagine an entire fleet of those. but the idea was scrapped because the ammo and gun would be too heavy even for battleships and the cost of building multiple guns together with thousands of shells would be astronomical.

They dug a shaft, put a nuclear bomb in it, put a manhole cover at the top of the hole, pointed a high-speed camera at it, and then set off the bomb.
