I bought these in red and wore them for 2 training sessions so far. You are spot on with the heel area. Although it is not so bad for me that it would affect the performance but I really dont understand what were adidas thinkg when designing that heel area. Those two cushions with sharp edges have not much in common how human heel area is shapped. It looks how they were thinking "ok thats nice upper now lets do something flashy with heel area". Also there are some stitches running in the middle of heel that rock hard, no softness at all, very weird. Apart from heel are these are very nice, great traction and performance.

Man, I was worried I was too tough for my review of these. Glad I'm not the only one who had issues. Its such a shame because they have so much potential and they're just not it. The competition has definitely changed. Great and thorough review!

Switched to these from the Nemeziz 18.1 for a similar feel. The soleplate and one piece sock like upper. Once I switched the insole and laces got great lockdown in the heel area. A little roomer than the Nemziz but I am enjoying the ball feel with these.

Nice comment. 442 v2 pro can beat a lot of boot in the market.
Absolutely. Adlers are incredibly soft and amazing quality, but the Yatagarashus just felt too thin for me. I like a more padded touch and so I actually prefer the 442s.

Man that sucks about the heel. I thought the lockdown was lacking as well, but was hoping that was just because of my narrow heel, but guess not.
For sure mate, definitely something that will be fine for some people but not for thin heels!
What do you do to help prevent blisters in the heel area. I got the tekelas v4 pros and the heel been a major problem about them
I don't mate, I just end up testing boots and if they have excess heel slippage I don't wear them!

Depends what fits you mate! I'd go for the Copa because of the laces, but I like the predator laced model better

I got the pure 2 elite version (maroon) and after 2 uses I can see the leather ripping around the base of the laces near the toe box. Did anyone else have that?

Not really, but those also were a standard tongue and an okay heel area
