- Genshin Impact's new gacha banner has been long-awaited, and now that it's finally here we can roll for the overseer of the Grand Narukami Shrine and owner of Yae Publishing House: the electrifying Yae Miko! (Also when this stream airs it'll be Zach's birthday!)
Joining me is Yae Miko's English voice actress, Ratana (a fellow co-worker from Fire Emblem: Three Houses!) - we'll hang out and learn more about her VO journey, likes and dislikes, and how she feels about her role in Genshin.

The thing that makes me *love* Zach's streams with Genshin's VAs is that all of them are complete sweethearts. I love listening to their stories, Zach is such a good host and he creates incredible chemistry with all of them. Ratana is amazing, I adore her work as Yae (her interpretation is the reason I've been wanting Yae so much since Inazuma's release!), and that one thing she said about the voice acting world, that is everyone is like a family and they all know and care for each other, you can totally feel it on these streams. There is so much comradery and geniune happiness about actors doing well on their careers, it's so heartwarming to listen to you guys. I seriously love listening to you.

Not to be that guy, but this is what happens when the talents have control over what they say.
Compared to Genshin official streams, I love and respect the job they do for the game, but I cant help to feel how the script is awkward sometimes, these kind of talks during Zach's streams are pretty different, you feel comfortable listening everything flows smoothly (Except for Zach's wallet).

59:44 really thankful we got to live in this era.. my Grandparents and even my dad told me stories of when he served in the U.S. Military and the only means he could talk to his parents back in the Philippines was by letters, and those letters would take MONTHS to get to where they need to be :v
1:05:12 Lumine and Aether also has a different voiceline about their favorite kind of Slime.. iirc, Aether's is Pyro while Lumine's is Cryo. Their moves also compliment each other, like Aether pounds the ground with his fist to perform the Geo Burst while Lumine stomps the ground. I also remember seeing a video where both their normal attacks are played together and their pattern really compliments each other :')
In the case of Lumine and Aether, their moves indicate that they would theoretically cover each other in battle. It’s honestly really sweet.
gotta say, watching these pulling + voice actor interview livestreams is so insightful. it's so interesting how diverse and different the experiences of each voice actor are in their paths, and yet here they are, talented people uniting together to bring life to fantastic characters in a fantastic game.
I actually did Yae's birthday line for my colleagues' birthday with my best Yae Miko Impression, some were impressed, some got a good laugh, some thought I was an answering machine. Overall they liked it.
Ratana's voice is my favorite female voice in the game. Thank you, Zach, for your videos and happy birthday!!

Our 8 yr old loooves you guys' among us games 💜 I finally FINALLY won my first 50/50 since playing day 1, we let our daughter pull and after only 27 wishes she came home. At the Narukami Shrine even! We screamed, my daughter screamed it was so awesome. I love playing her, and Ratana was on POINT for her voice!

She didnt wish on her account though, my wife and I let her pull wishes for us for fun (Also bc shes super lucky, she got 2 Ayakas in a ten pull!) We dont spend any money but BP and Welkin.

Well Zach, this was a very fun stream and I just wanted to say happy birthday!!!! You were able to get Yae and Ratana is just as cool a person as I thought she was. One minute, she is very fun, sweet and awesome and the next minute you have Yae who will tease you but is smart and wise to the point where her and Ratana are almost like two different people and that story about the whole you can voice a character but then IMMEDIATELY you have to do a Russian accent......that oh crap Ratana spoke made me laugh as well as the dead iPad story lol!!!! But anyway, it was nice to invite Ratana to the stream, great that you have the foxy lady who makes Visual Novels and again Happy Birthday my man!

43:10 It's better to do single wishes. The rate for every single wish is all different, and descends as you get closer to 90 wishes. However, the rate for doing 10x wishes at a time makes all 10 wishes have the same exact rate. The rate for all 10x wishes will be lower than the 1st wish you make. The change in rates for each single wish compared to the rate of all wishes from 10x wishes may be insignificant, but If you don't believe me, I've been playing through and wished on 30+ accounts now, and for the first 15 accounts, I've been doing 10x wishes, and for the next 15 accounts, I've been doing 1x wishes. The accounts that I've done 1x wishes have two or three times the amount of 5-stars than the accounts that I've done 10x wishes. If you STILL don't believe me, I wasn't even the one who discovered this pattern. It was actually my friend who only has 2 accounts. Despite being F2P, he actually has ten 5-star characters and weapons on one account, and thirteen 5-star characters and weapons on his other account, and he's never been to Inazuma on either. I told him how that was possible, and he said he's only done single wishes. I didn't believe him at all at first, but the first account I started doing single wishes, I've already outnumbered all of my accounts' 5-stars with this one account. I've witnessed the power of single wishes before my very eyes. He told me to come watch his livestream to watch him wish on the Wolf's Gravestone/Staff of Homa weapon banner, and he got both of them in 6 wishes. A few months later, he told me to watch his livestream again to see him wish on Eula's banner, and got her in just 19 single wishes. Fast forward even more, my friend hasn't played Genshin for about 8 months now, and he informed me that he decided to come back for a few minutes to wish on Arataki Itto's banner, and got him in one single wish. Now for my single wish experiences, I got the Staff of Homa in 23 wishes; I lost the 50/50 on Zhongli's 2nd banner, but got Keqing and Zhongli in 3 and 34 wishes respectively; I got Kazuha in 20 wishes; I got the Engulfing Lightning in 29 wishes; I lost the 50/50 again on Childe's 3rd banner, but got Keqing again and Childe in 7 and 10 wishes respectively; and I got Ganyu in 16 wishes on her 2nd banner. Those are only just the ones I was able to record on my TH-cam channel, but most of them are privated except for the video I got C1 Keqing and Childe, but yeah. Single wishes > 10x wishes
I agree with this. I always single pull whenever i get the chance, then one time i got so lucky, i pulled Keqing, Jean, and Mona only at 1pity.

This is like perfect birthday stream! so exciting to hear Ratana talk about her experiences and roles! 🙌 I had the same realization as a kid, 'wow, I wanna be a cartoon!' until an adult tells you it's actually all made by people. Like, 'Wow, these cartoons are voiced by people, that's amazing!' - voice acting really is such an inspiring field! I wanted to be an animator for such a long time but hearing these stories from different voice actors really makes me want to return to acting haha 😄

I came from the algorithm giving me a chance to listen to Renata, but you're such a great Aether! I play as Lumine, (her actress does a phenomenal job, both as traveler and the princess), and I love the undertone of sadness you give Aether as the abyss prince compared to your twin. But I also love looking over the shoulder of my bf because I love listening to Aether's traveler lines. I'm rooting for you for longer recording sessions though. Whenever I do a survey, I add in a paragraph praising the characters, lore, and world, but I also make a comment about how I wish I could hear more of the Travelers being characters because I love your lines so much. I hope we get a Genshin anime so you have the chance to really play Aether fully.

In regards to dead iPad batteries, my friend had a similar issue. A repairman advised he open up his tablet and remove the battery. as it turns out, that was exactly the issue, because the battery constantly got warm with use and had begun sticking in an unnatural manner to the inside of the tablet, causing it to become grounded and wearing down the charge, until it couldn't hold one anymore. Peeling out the battery and putting it back allowed it to hold a charge again. It was strange.
