    Man I’m so happy to see someone use the Vonixx Paint Coating. I’ve been looking at it lately. Also thought you needed to use a special coating for matte wraps / paint so you don’t add any gloss. Super happy to see that it didn’t in your case.

    Great job as always Phil. It’s no wonder to me that detailers never own black vehicles for their daily drivers. It’s a lot of work keeping them looking great. Nevertheless a freshly detailed black vehicle is a thing of beauty.

    My goodness! The paint was trashed. Have you ever done a paint pre-inspection for customers who are considering a purchase? Was watching a dealer cleaning off paint after a snowstorm. Not very good. Also walked down an aisle of brand new Silverados, and all had holograms on them from the dealership "detailing department." Aweful.
    I see sweet little kitty gave 2 paws up approval of wheel coating. Great video showing new car damage Phil. You did a great job. Hi wife.

    Hey Phil, I watch your video's all the time. I notice you always do a fantastic job washing and Polishing your customers vehicles Jessica too. I wanted to ask though many of the vehicles you guy complete come out looking incredible but there are always some swirls left behind. Is that because of your lighting and in sunlight the swirls aren't visible or the swirls left behind are just to deep to chase? Thanks in advance Ken.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Great question. So that’s why we talk a lot about only going as far as the customer wants and is paying for. If the customer wants is paying for and specifically wants us to remove all the swirls, or at least as much as safely possible, then that’s what we will do. However with our Paint Enhancement Services, which most of these jobs are, the customer is only paying for and wants gloss and about 50% of the swirls removed. Basically a reducing of the swirls and not a complete correction. That completely up the customer and not to us. So when some people see on our videos some minor swirls they conclude we didn’t do a good enough service, when in fact it’s quite the opposite. We have the customer service cacti what they wanted and paid for. It’s only on TH-cam that people get picky about these things, because they are only watching and not actually underrating that we are a real detailing business and not a TH-cam trendy video creator. It’s unfortunate that some “detailers” on TH-cam show the best results possible and don’t let us see the reality of what the majority of customers truly want. So that’s why I explain in our videos the reasons why we don’t go full paint correction on most vehicles. It’s not up to us. Thanks. 😎👍🏼

    I just had a 23 Escalade (black) in this past weekend for ceramic coating. It must have been on the lot outside for a bit because there were ALOT of water spots and alot of "factory/dealer defects/damage for a 2023. And not every waterspot came out even with compound, but a vast majority did. I did not want to risk damage to the clear coat BUT overall it turned out fantastic. It to is a daily driver.

  • @muchachogrande2019
    @muchachogrande2019 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I find the balance of an enhancement to be a fascinating subject and you touched on it briefly here.
    With your customers and demographic in your area, most people are looking for enhancements over corrections and north of 50% removal is good.
    I find that in Utah, though things do tend to get super dirty and it's a moderately harsh environment whether it's the freezing temps and road salt in winter or the sun beating down at 110°+ in the summer, but in general we have a very very fine dry sorta dirt around here. This results typically in more of the haze and micro marring type of stuff and not as many really deep scratches, which can be nice tbh because it allows me to shrink that gap between an enhancement and a correction as I'm able to shoot for around 70% removal/improvement and I'm likely still putting in less work than what you have to do for 50% improvement.
    I guess what I'm saying and the part I find fascinating is that it's important for detailers to really give all of the variables a good hard look, and the typical level and types of damage on vehicles IN YOUR LOCALE is one that's easy to miss. Even variables like your environment and typical damage on the vehicles which aren't something you can necessarily impact, are important to account for because even if you can't change that variable, you can change your approach to it and in some cases use it to your advantage.
    Ultimately the variables are the switches and knobs you have at your disposal to tweak and manipulate in order to be more profitable, so detailers need to constantly and consistently make sure they're looking at them and fine tuning.

    Good video, to be honest the clear coat thickness is really good for a new car, my car come with anything from 4.9mills to even 2.5mils, the sides and the lower area of the car was the worse, ive seen it alot where new cars the average is 3-3.5mils sometimes less, I don’t a enhancement and ceramic coating on mine but I can’t keep polishing it

If vonixx is quite a bit better maybe I would take a closer look . I'm not one to jump around to different lines . Thoughts ? Hi brush they the Kirkland towels. But we have never had an issue on soft black with these towels. However I have had a few bad batches of towels that were really rough feeling and I just returned them and got a new package and they were soft and totally fine. So I think a few bad batches get out and detailers completely write them off as they are ALL bad. But it’s not true. I have been using these towels for years now.

    How do you go about chrome bumpers on these newer trucks if they need touched up

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi. You mean if the chrome is scratched or chipped and needs touch up? If so t there is nothing we can do. Just polish and protect. But if the chrome is scratched or chipped, it just needs to be rechromed.

      @@MirandaDetailing yeah i meant what’s a good polishing combo. I know a lot of chrome varies on each vehicle and most these days is made cheap, but on the “real” chrome.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ArthurMSoto oh I see. I would just use the same polish that I use on the paint. Chrome is very forgiving and easy to polish. I microfiber hand application of any polish will work great.

    Soft black paint is sooo sketch, but coatings are epic, just like your work bru.

    Was this basically a 2 step since y’all used an orange pad then black after ?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi. Not really a full 2 step, I had to go a little heavy in some areas, but not over the entire thing. so our Enhancement services we will do what ever we need to do to get the paint looking 50% better. so sometimes that means using more aggressive pads and polishes in some areas.

      @@MirandaDetailing ah okay makes sense ! Yeah I noticed black trucks usually require more refining and polishing. I should charge more for black 😂

    Will a ceramic spray sealant remove the polish residue from the Dr Beasley?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. We have found that it doesn’t really remove that residue. It kinda shows through. But it does eventually go away after a day or two. It’s better for true coatings.

      Great thanks for the response. I plan on using it with DPC TMR coating but was just curious about spray sealants.

    Every detailer I know told me all US car manufacturers do a crap job painting new cars cause they make junk and don't care. Japanese and Euro brand painting is vastly superior.

    I had this same job but on a gmc brand new black super scratched bad was tough to do one step only with swirls still left , what do you do or what do you say if a customer with a black vehicle after being coated comes back soon and says it has scratches or swirls all over again ? Would you have to redo the entire service

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. That's where good communication comes in. You HAVE to let the customer know about paint like this. It WILL swirl up over time...It takes constant care and gentle washing...all of that. If you do that and communicate all of that before hand you usually don't have problems. We wouldnt redo anything...They signed our form and thats it.

    Man I’m so happy to see someone use the Vonixx Paint Coating. I’ve been looking at it lately. Also thought you needed to use a special coating for matte wraps / paint so you don’t add any gloss. Super happy to see that it didn’t in your case.
