Welcome to the official TH-cam channel of chart-topping female R&B vocal group, En Vogue. This is the home of 90s hits “Hold On,” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” “Free Your Mind,” and “Don’t Let Go (Love)” among successful albums ‘Born To Sing,’ ‘Funky Divas,’ and ‘EV3,’ and numerous awards and nominations.
En Vogue was formed by producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy under the vision of a modern R&B girl group with strong vocals, intelligence, and show-stopping glamour. Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Terry Ellis made the cut out of 3,000 women who auditioned. The group was an immediate hit upon their first single in 1990 and set the standard for female vocal groups. Through the evolution of the lineup to the current members of Herron-Braggs, Ellis, and Rhona Bennett, En Vogue continues to tour, release new music, and dazzle and inspire fans everywhere. Can we acknowledge how killer the production on this track is.

Everything from beats to lyrics
I hope someday Salt N Pepa realize how happy they made so many brothers and sisters with this song. So uplifting something that has been sorely missing from our music. God Bless You Ladies.
Right it's lovely
You ain't lying.
Let's not forget the main vocals! Enjoy Vogue! Wtf??? 😂 dumb people!
I loved this thing since I was a 13 year old white boy. So it transcended race along with age and gender. Pretty cool.
Music empowering people rather than listing them as the victim to their circumstances. Preach brother 🇨🇦💙
Never disrespectful because his momma taught him that ❤️☺️

@Sara Griffith well both groups broke up for a while. Salt-N-Pepa regrouped in that last few years and En vouge is still making music, but neither group are making new hits so they aren't as talked about as they used to be.
Right!! Me too!! Loved 90s hip hop

What an anthem to what relationships should be! But you don't have to be body like Arnold with a Denzel face if you do your lady right, and she reciprocates. LOVE Salt n Pepa, En Vogue, et al. All the queens of music throughout the ages.
It was one of my favorite collaborations and taught a lot of young women to expect to be treated like a lady and accept nothing less. 🥰🥰🥰

I wanted to be every one of them. Salt n Pepa and EnVogue set the bar so high in the late 80s/ 90s. Each one brought something to the table.
Such a great representation of black women in all of our sassiness, beauty and style without being sleazy. As well as all the other groups and singers that were much more varied during that time.

I was ten years old when I saw this debut on MTV. I was just this white kid sitting in front of the tv and I got really into hip hop and r&b after that. En Vogue looks so good in this video. That individual style each girl brought is immaculate.
That was mostly Dawn's idea/suggestion. Just like she wanted them, including herself, to get paid more money. Certain people also wanted those ladies to dress/look the same.

Yeah bay-bee😊. Still, this awesome group of Ladies did it unapologetic and soooo good.
Props darlin', still❤
We still had each others back back then, our music spoke volumes and kept us connected, things are so different now!!!
Hmm Salt N Pepa didn't wanna include Spin in their movie but she clearly raps in this song so she wasn't just a DJ
I think this is the only song where she got bars. They were always meant to be only a two girl rap team and spin the DJAy. But when DJZays went out of style she tried hard to fit in but it never worked. Cannot blame Salt n PEP for not wanting to split the pot when they were writing the lyrics.
@@miamac63 i disagree. She was in all those videos dancing in Shoop all on stage. They paraded around as a trio. She is on album covers etc etc they were known as salt n pepa like run dmc was known as them but we knew that jam master Jay was apart of them
@@miamac63 she never went out of style. As a FAN of the group, I loved Spin and her contribution to the group. Let’s not rewrite history and pretend like she was not an integral part of the group. She was on the album cover, magazine covers, every video, every performance, interview, and accepting every award with them. Not saying she deserved an equal portion of earnings and acknowledgement but she deserves a percentage.
And out rapped them at that
Exactly exactly exactly exactly

This video was so risqué in my house lol! I used to sneak and watch it. My dad was not having it. Lol God, I miss the 90s..❤️
Compared to the videos of today, it wasn’t much risqué according to today’s standards.
Hahahaha
I remember they did a version on the Mickey Mouse Club, I think Rhona did it, and it was so shocking bc they never did songs that were remotely risqué. They had to change a lot of lyrics IIRC, "I think I want to have your baby" became "I think I want to be your lady," lmao.
I remember sneak watching Prince "Cream" till one time I got caught and got in trouble 😆

And he gives me goose pimples with every single touch
Spends quality time with his kids when he can
Secure in his manhood 'cause he's a real man
A lover and a fighter and he'll knock a nucca out
Don't take him for a sucker 'cause that's what he's about
Every time I need him, he always got my back
Never disrespectful 'cause his mama taught him that"
