I'm so super excited about today's video! With lockdown easing and me having a day off I decided to film myself going manga shopping 🥰
I decided to have a bit of fun with it and tried doing a few things I haven't done before so let me know in the comments what you think of the video!!!
It's also the first time I've recorded outside so apologies for the shakiness I'll definitely try and improve for next time 💪 What next time may be I don't know 😅
Though you can see some of the manga I picked up in the video I'll do a proper haul video in the next few days or so showing everything I got cause you don't see it all here 👀

it's so satisfying to see people buying manga and just walking around but i'm so jealous hahahhahahah the manga store near my town is so little, it's always the same :((

I've been a little surprised with how many people are already familiar Leeds! I guess it makes sense if there's at least 2 places that sell manga there must be a market for it 😅

I MURDERED THE SPACE BAR TO PAUSE WHEN I SAW THE "86" LIGHT NOVELS. It's the first time I've seen them in a store in a video omg thank you so much.
I recommend it so much, btw. It's one of my favorite animes of all time. It's a little bit like AOT, but with mecha.
When you have a list of manga you plan to buy but when getting there you notice other manga your interested in and complete forgot about your list. That's a relatable feeling. Also sooo many Fairy Tail volumes and they had it completed...LUCKY!!
I think there was only one thing I got that I had on my list and that was Black Torch 🤣

I am so glad that people film shopping videos, we're still in lockdown and the closest I get to my comic book shop is when I pick up up the stuff I ordered online.
Hope you're able to get out soon! We really haven't been out long and I was only comfortable cause I got a day off work so it was less busy than usual

Awesome video! I usually don’t watch videos over like 15 mins but this video was so calming . I also liked how you took your time through each shelf,most mangatubers breeze through the shelves so fast that I can’t see anything.👍

Amazing! The Leeds stores are my stores too!! I went to the Manchester ones on Friday and stocked up, but you’ve shown me a few more in stock at Leeds that I want now 😂💕
Oh gosh I used to go to Manchester's stores a bunch too but haven't since just before lockdown! It's only slightly further away than Leeds for me so I should go and do another shopping video there sometime 😅🥰

Ahh, this video was so good and enjoyable to watch. I live in London and the Forbidden Planet we have barely had any manga. It was so sad because I had been looking forward to getting a load of manga after lockdown. Hopefully, my next trip will be more successful. The store in London only has 3 for 2 on select volumes and series, like Viz and Shounen Jump. Series like AOT and Noragami are full price, which is honestly really sad :( Can't wait for your next video :D

Could not believe it when i saw D-frag volumes 2 and 3. They are sooo hard to get a hold of.

@@Caketinz Rightstuf is nice and all but nothing beats buying manga in person. 🥰 I've been collecting for around 11 or 12 years as well (2009) so I definitely understand putting them wherever they'll fit. 😅 I'm constantly reorganizing my manga to find more space. All so I can buy more, of course! 😁

There's apparently 9 Forbidden Planet's and 17 Forbidden Planet International's across the UK!
I was interested to see what was at a forbidden planet, as I was considering having a look at the one in Nottingham tomorrow. However £11.99 is a bit high. I suppose if you are collecting alot of things, it's not to bad, but I'd be looking for only 3 or 6 items. The early ones of yuuna are hard to get, I did consider collecting it, but changed my mind based on this.
There is still a range of prices so standard Viz are still either £6.99 or £7.99 but yeah FP have definitely pushed them up a bit. I think it was maybe 4 years ago I picked up Yuuna 1 and have been on the look out for vol 2 ever since 😅
That forbidden planet International has soo much more than the normal.one here in Newcastle! Hells paradise i just managed to get 5 and 6 myself and wow...they have up to vol 7 of witch hat atelier!
Also just picked up vol 1 of a witches printing office as heard you talk about it alot :) looks like you bought a whole lot haha 😄
It's been a good couple of years since I went to the ones in Newcastle when restrictions clear up a bit I'm hoping to at least do a Travelling Man 'tour' 🤣

I know quite a few people who are trying to find volumes of TBHK without much luck. I think its just a waiting game for restocks I'm afraid 😫

That is completely down to a person's opinion! Most people I know actually prefer white shelves whereas I prefer black cause I like cosy vibes and think black lends itself better to that. There aren't many people I know with black shelves actually 🤔

Hi, I was wondering what kind of camera you use to film your videos?
A mix of DSLR and phones. Whenever outside its been either mine or my partners phone and theres been a few different ones over the years I've used. Nowadays I've been using my phone even inside but I need to be careful cause the strobing (due) to fairy light is more noticeable with my phone camera. My current phone is a pixel 6

Thats quite a broad question 😅 I have a video where I talk about how much I spend on manga if you're interested in a bit more detail but in general the prices of manga instore range from 6.99+ though I don't tend to buy volumes above around 15.99. And then I buy them as part of a 3 for 2 so I get 30% off. Happy belated birthday!
