  • 😭I FINALLY got LASHIFY lashes that skyrocketed my confidence! 😍 DIY Lash Extensions that are affordable and actually look good on me! I’ve tried it all from mascara to lash perming to magnetic lashes and it was a no go. 😢 For me, I HATE doing anything that wastes time or money! 😤 I’m a logical and detailed person that scours every nook and cranny before buying anything. I have extremely high expectations and products I buy have to be excellent in every way. 🤓
    This video is NOT sponsored in any way by Lashify. I’m just a gal that took a chance and now I am so happy fluttering my lashes. ☺️ Also this video is applicable to all ethnicities, eye shapes, and eyelids. ❤️ Just wanted to give a shout out to my girls with monolid because the struggle is real. 😅
    UPDATE with Link: lashify.com/Erica (Wow! They ended up giving me an affiliate link! 🥹 Thank you for your support!)
    ☺️ I hope this longer detailed video is helpful to you if you are looking to figure out your groove with your lashes.

    Everyone’s definition of “on a budget” or “affordable” is different but for me, figuring out a way to fit lashes into my budget was something I really prioritized. After finding my groove, I am now spending on average $30 or less a month with Lashify. (This is coming from a girl who was willing to fork over $100+ per month for lash extensions so I’m happy). 🤓It was worth the upfront investment of time and money for me to figure out my system. 😃That’s why I made this video to hopefully save you some time & money from the very beginning! (Also the Lashify Life FB page is incredible when it comes to more troubleshooting tips, other bonding methods, inspiration, and community).
    If you look fabulous doing mascara, lash strips, lash perming, magnetic lashes, and lash extensions, I am SO happy for you 🥰 (also so jealous LOL). Whatever makes you feel confident and glam, do it! You go girl!
    Love,
    Erica ☺️
    P.S. night bond may also be known as night liner now :)

    ❤️As mentioned in the video, here is the sleep eye mask I use and love! The eye pillows are adjustable and block out all light which is huge for me. You can also wash on delicate and then hang dry. Manta Sleep Mask Link - amzn.to/3lRWwDq
    ❤️Sign up for emails for sales too. You can also get the membership to save a few bucks on gossamers and bonds, but not necessary if you have your system down.

    So THIS is how I spend my midlife crisis: instead of getting a Tesla I now watch eylash tutorials…??? WTH! You got in my timeline with your Japan videos… but I like your vibes and, thus, I somehow had to click on this one… and I watched it to the end… despite being a guy and having inherited decent eyelashes. So your YT tactics must be working! Good luck with your YT endeavour… I better go and check out the finance videos too…

    • @buildyourmoxie

      @@christinecolburn6971😃 I’m a left side sleeper and a back sleeper and my lashes do great!! Very little contact occurs when I’m on my side!!
      If you are a slightly stomach/side sleeper where you are turned a little more than just purely on your side, then you might get more contact.
      But in general, if you wear super long gossamers like 16,18,20 then you might touch. But for me I have monolid and a flatter face profile, so if you have nice eye sockets you may be able to wear 20’s and not touch at all! I’m wearing P14 now!
      Long story short, I have never found an eye mask as good as this one!! 😍

    Omg THANK YOU for this video!! The number of times I’ve quit at the last minute when prepared to order… 😂😂
    I’m going to try them. Regular lash extensions bother my eyes (the chemicals), lash lifts work really well but I’m becoming leery of the chemicals, and going without - hooded eyes, thick long STRAIGHT lashes that don’t curl - yeah it’s just not cutting it!! Hello!! :) I have tried waterpoof! It’s good!!!
      However it’s a little harder to clean the gossamers cuz there is a little film it leaves behind so I stopped using it.
      So i prefer night bond. I also went back to using glass too! Cuz it prevents little fibers from sticking to my lashes if I slept crazy hahaha

    • @buildyourmoxie

      Haha no problem at all!! You can leave the gossamer lashes in the alcohol for weeks haha. I’ve left it in there for 3 months once. Just make sure your alcohol doesn’t evaporate 🤣
      My alcohol container is just a face cream glass container I cleaned out 😝
      I store the clean ones in a little container! And label it!

    Great job! I learned the most from your video. Are you using the regular wand? I was thinking about getting the petite wand, but some reviews I read said there's not much curve difference. What do you recommend?

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Selyna! Love your name! 🥰
      I would say it’s not fully necessary to get! If it’s the same price then get it! If not, skip 🤪. Since my eyes are flatter, I just do the reverse fuse method first to make sure all the gossamers are in place and then reverse fuse firmer once I like it. THEN I do the full fuse in which most of my lashes have some surface area with the regular fuse wand. That is the only time where the petit wand would be a tiny bit easier to fuse but people have managed without it for a couple years before it coming out. But I wouldn’t spend additional $$ on it if it’s a major price difference 🥰. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!!

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s awesome!!! Have you applied your lashify yet using just the control kit? 🤩 if so, how’d it go? I would say practice a few times with just the control kit and once ur better with the placement and fusing, then try the bondage and black whisper light mix! 🙌

    • @selynashong9413
      @selynashong9413 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Build Your Moxie Yes, but I applied lashes only 4 times since I got the kit last month. I'm not very good at it, and it takes me a long time to get the lashes on properly 😄. I'm still experimenting to find a method that gives me longer wear time and which lash style I like.

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi!! If you already have an light up LED adjustable mirror then no need!
      If you don’t have a light up mirror, then you can do the LED control kit.. but to be honest I rather just buy a separate LED mirror so I could use it for nonlashify things hehe. I use mine when filming my videos! 😝
      Long story short, just get the cheaper one and make sure you have some kind of LED mirror! 😃

      I’m super happy with lashify though cuz it’s so affordable and I’m now at 8 days wear so it saves me a lot of time in my week!😍
      I’ve heard of lilac street and scoured their website and looked at a lot of their tools and lashes. But honestly I liked lashify more because I felt it was more professional, there were more options on gossamers, and the tools are very ergonomic. (I’m a physical therapist so I need my hands to not be twisted funny when I’m applying lashes for the rest of my life lol). Also just the entire lashify vibe makes me feel fancy because of the black (my favorite color). 😝 Even if it it is a little more money up front, it was worth it to me because I love the quality and how it makes me feel. I’m going 2-3 months without spending a dime now because I got my method down! 🤗 I filmed this video in December and I’m only getting better since then!! 🫶❤️
      Thanks so much for watching!! If you can get your cleaning/reusing method down, you will save lots of money 🥰❤️

      @@buildyourmoxie Can you reuse the gossamers forever or at some point do they need to be thrown out?

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@michaela_fk depending on the gossamer you buy and how careful you are cleaning them, it can last a long time! I use plushies and been reusing each pair at least 3-5 times. The core gossamers (drama and stardust) are very delicate so they don’t last long. But if you get the fluffies or extreme or plushies, they can be reused a lot. You throw them out if the spine of the gossamer comes off the gossamers because there is no more integrity to hold it together. So I would recommend trying the sturdy ones and then mix and match to get different looks :)

    Could you use a spoolie to dip in the melt away so I don't waste it?

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello!! Yes you can! However with the melt away you probably need to dip it a lot to soak the lashes since it’s more liquidy instead of oily like the Release :)
      Just make sure your lashes are saturated so it can dissolve the bond. The goal is minimal tugging when you remove! ☺️🤗.

    You did a wonderful and thorough job but I was waiting for you to stay whether they are comfortable or not. Can you feel them? Or, do you just forget they are on?

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oo yes! They are very comfortable if you put them on correctly!!
      If you put them too close to your water line (which is not how you should do it), sometimes it feels pokey. So just make sure it’s 1-2mm from your water line. This also protects your natural lashes and keeps them super healthy
      If you have never worn any type of lash strip, lash extension, etc, then it will feel odd for the first time because your lashes will be like BAM GORGEOUS! But it’s comfortable!!
      I’ve been wearing them now for over 2 years for almost every single day!

    This looks SO EXPENSIVE to get each and every item.. the control kit alone was around $150, I believe..and it doesn't have most of the items you mention. I don't see how this is more cost effective than lash extensions. Only reason I am considering trying is they have BLACK/BROWN lashes!! I am fair, and only wear black/brown mascara as I find black mascara too harsh for me.

    • @buildyourmoxie
      @buildyourmoxie  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Understandable! The way how I see it as someone that doesn’t have a lot of options for nice lashes is you have to invest more in the beginning but then the upkeep is very affordable. I filmed this video over a year ago and I spend even less money now. ($60 every 4 months because I just keep cleaning and reusing lol)
      But even the first fill of lashes in lash extensions can be $70-180 normally on a bare face. So that’s my reasoning lol. (Unless you got a first timer discount)
      Some people that do Lashify buy a lot a lot a lot because they love experimenting with the different gossamer styles. For me, I’m cool with just my plushies lol. I’m at P14 now.
      A lot of my people I know that do lash extensions, they pay anywhere from $50-115 a month. They also have to drive there, spend the hour or so, and then sometimes between fills their lashes look sparse 😅. So to me in the end lash extensions are more expensive.
      But both have their perks! It just depends on how you want to do it.
      The items in the control kit last a long time. The wand, the wandoms if you are careful with putting it on and off (I’m still using the same wandom almost 3 years later lol) can last for a long long time cuz it’s a tool. The bond in the control kit is a starter one and will last probably 3-5 months.
      The stuff that I recommend to get in the middle of the video will last 6-18+ months if you are a weekly applier like me 🤗. This includes the gossamers.
      But yes! Lash extensions and Lashify to me are the best looking lashes 😃. It just depends on how you want to do it ❤️

      @@sangeeta93usthank you! I just reviewed the time stamp!
      For me I apply the bond and then just wait for it to get sticky! You can puff it dry which speeds up the process a ton!!
      But I get kind of distracted so I just go do something else for 10-20 minutes and let it air dry 😝. I’m normally cooking or getting my stuff ready for the next day!!
      No need to do something for 20 min if that is too long. But just make sure it’s dry and sticky! That will be the different between a couple days hold and a week hold for me!! Dry and sticky! ☺️😁
