This exuberant 80’s dance hit is song performed by a well known American singer-songwriter and Grammy Award Winner ‘Irene Cara.’
It was released in 1983 as the theme song for the hit film - Flashdance. A dance pop disco it was written by Keith Forsey and Irene Cara, composed and produced by Giorgio Moroder under the label Casablanca & Network. The song achieved an unexpected success at the box office. It spent 6 weeks at the no.1 on Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts around the world. It received Gold Certificate by Recording Industry Association of America and won the Academy & Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
