I was surprised Breloom didn't get Trailblaze. Probably wouldn't be enough to save it from the lower tiers, but it would've been a nice option for Technician sets regardless.
Gamefreak is just like deathly afraid of fast spore, even though breloom dies in one hit to almost everything and needs a turn to actually set up the Trailblaze
It didn't get Grassy Glide either. Well with Technician and STAB it's actually a busted move

Lowkey wish OU bans didn't affect lower tiers. Breloom is more or less balanced around the fact that it gets Spore and has numerous exploitable weaknesses that become a lot more glaring without that one advantage

This. I dont see why that's even a thing since what's broken in one tier may not be busted in another, and just causes some really funky tiering actions :/
Yeah it's something which was quite jarring in gen 8, bc drill and rotom-w were stabilising forces in UU but were borderline in terms of usage for OU. So the meta would shift tremendously based on whether or not they met usage requirements.
The solution would be something like Ubersand Uber UU (UUber?), where UUber has a different metagame than OU because pokemon aren't autobanned from there, and has lead to pokemon that are allowed in OU being banned from UUber. Maybe a Uber RU would be possible.
Sleep ban is the dumbest shit Smogon has banned. Low accuracy sleep like Hypnosis and Sing is the problem.
We live in a timeline where moltres is tiered higher than zapdos let that sink in
Zapdos is very underrated in the tier
I legit loaded a game in 1800’s
And I 6-0 team with lead zapdos
It’s so good most of the times
Garg and ting Lu you can bolt switch and u turn on
You can’t para things like roaring moon and kyurem
Tusk and iron treads don’t even want to see you
Next generation it drops back to lower tiers because Tera will not be a thing anymore.
Ye, because Moltres is a better check some of the most dangerous OU mons like Gambit, Physical Valiant and Great Tusk. Tusk is completely walled by Moltres, since ice spinner does nothing like it does to zap. I think your understanding of why it's better than zap is weak. Let that sink in.

I love how SV UU looks like modern ORAS OU now, Excadrill on top, u have no defog Torn there, Greninja, Serperior, Zapdos, Latios

According to PU players, its exclusively lower ladder players using Raptor. In tournaments and high ladder, Flamigo is preferred.

With Moltres in OU and Articuno winning a regional, gen 9 has been really kind to the birds
I agree with the Doctor. Moltres is extremely cheap, literally the only way to beat it is knock + rocks or surprise rock move
Moltres and zap are the least fun mons to play in the game, only thing i’ll say about alo is she gets ohkoed by any specs user, contact abilities are so incredibly annoying
And 30% of the time, you get punished for knocking it off.

NU is the perfect environment for Deoxys Defense stored power sets to thrive and I think it will be broken in NU

Cobalion rising to UU is never a shock. The shock is when it isn’t UU proper. Ever since its debut, Cobalion has ended every gen as a top 10 UU mon. Expecting the same rise here (I believe it had a similar adventure in SM where it was RU for a while and then rose to UU and became a top 5 mon by the end of the gen)
Also, hope PU is ready for Breloom. Idk how it handles Talon, the new Psychics and inability to use Spore

Oh hey look, as everyone expected, the pokemon with 100% accurate sleep was destroyed by the sleep clause. This is why the ruling of "these 2 pokemon are the only relevant sleep users and abusers and we'd rather ban sleep than them" was such a terrible choice. OU council didn't care what happened to lower tiers, or other sleep users having a possible niche OU role. But whatever, the player base didn't want to have to play pokemon and predict sleep vs attack, so they're probably still happy.
Iron Crown is an example of a cool mon. Doesn't do anything super overpowered and just an overall good mon.

I think gen 9. When the dust settles will be one of the greates gens of all time. It'll have a few staples that centralize the meta with a lot of viable lower tier mons with niches like gen 3 ou.

Honestly the tier shifts weren't as dramatic as I was expecting. Like deffo huge but I expected bolt and rai to place higher. The same way I expect physical tusk to rise to the occasion on day 6 of asking for physical tusk.

Miraidon, koraidon & arceus having over 60% usage, is crazy. These 3 mons are so broken, I recently started fitting arceus on all my teams. More than koraidon or mirai.
It's not really THAT crazy, modern gen Ubers normally revolve around 2-3 mons
Yveltal, Dusk-Mane, and Eternatus had 90% usage in Gen 8 Ubers

Day 7 of asking for Body Press Iron Defense Cobalion. We at the week mark in a video about both Iron Crown and Cobalion rise in tiers, big W for the goat.

I spammed a lot to get my boy back to uu
And it was surprisingly very good with Tera water when rain was around
Also As you mentioned against ogerpon and boot lokix when you have helmet you constantly chipping it to put it in range of whatever you have in the back .
