Yes, we're feeling the wanderlust too. We filmed this back in February. We happened to do a bunch of traveling at the beginning of the year. We came home and went straight into lockdown. Feel so lucky to have been able to be out and about.

I'm honestly shocked the train left one minute early! When you said that all I could think about was poor chronically late people running after the train haha. This reminds me of Harry Potter - what a fun adventure!
I guess everyone was accounted for before the train left the station. That's the only plausible explanation, right? Have you done the Harry Potter train at Universal Studios? It's amazing.
Loved this. We are so used to living roughly when we travel that it’s hard to remember that you can be comfortable too. Especially when you need to have a fiery poop. 🤣 That said, I really miss the subway (and trains). Haven’t been on one since February.
Hahahaha! A good toilet is the best companion for a fiery poop. Yeah, we haven't been on a train since this one back in February. We're ready to be on one again!

We took that same flight, but going from Chiang Mai to Phuket. So quick and inexpensive too. We loved getting the free lounge with our Bangkok airways ticket. Getting around Thailand is so fun.
I (bobby) got the shirt at an outdoor market in Washington state. I think it was Tacoma Washington. It was handmade by a local artist. I just did quite a bit of research online hoping i could find his name or some information to pass on to you. Alas, I couldn't find anything. If i ever come across him again i will send you info.
We love overnight train rides! We've done the DC to Florida train several times and it is great (but not quite as exotic as Thailand)! That food stand at the beginning looks amazing! The toilet buttons though...wow. What if you press the wrong one? We agree that sleeping is nice on a train. We always listen to Johnny Cash for a little while too...I don't know maybe it's weird but it seems like it should be done!
Johnny Cash on a train sounds perfect. Is the DC to Florida train an overnight trip? We've nenver actaully done an overnighter in the US. Only overseas. But we've done lots of day rides between Portland and Seattle and they're lovely!

That’s interesting, I’ve never been to Thailand although Philippines is so close there where i was from (Mrs. Leigh) It’s group of islands so we travel plane or cruise. So in Thailand they have must have that train for long travel. That’s awesome.
We would love to visit the Philippines too :) Travel by train is so fun for us. Thailand uses a lot of trains throughout the country. We've also done an overnight train to the south of the country. Such a great way to get around!

Yeah, beer and food delivered right to the door. It was "expensive" for Thai food. About $8. Glad we're connected on the Tubes!

The beds are awesome. Bobby says the top bunk was sorta rough, but the bottom one seems to be smoother. You gotta try it!

Gus, we've been to Koh Tao a couple years ago. We had some incredible snorkeling. Didn't care for the ultra-touristy vibe, but it's gorgeous there.
