Rozenhoedkaai, Bruges - Is This the Most Picturesque Spot in the City?

The Rozenhoedkaai in Bruges is arguably one of the most scenic spots in this wonderful medieval city.
It was only referred to as such in the 18th century. During Bruges' glory days in the Middle Ages, this quay was known as the "Zoutsteeghere bi den Eechoutte."
This was a reference to the salt ships that arrived here and the nearby abbey, a demolished building that is now occupied by the nearby Groeningemuseum.
Today, it's bustling with tourists who want to get a glimpse of the view that defines this romantic city in the northwest of Belgium.
