Next year's ballot I am thinking Mike Sciosca, Bob Welch, David Wells, Bill Buckner, Bob Wickman, Jerry Reuss, Darrell Porter, Charlie Hough, Mo Vaughn, Gene Tenace and Wally Moon
Thirty five years later we have three HOF players Boggs, Rice and Carter as of 2021. Maybe one day Clemens? Anyways great MLB postseason in 1986 one for the ages!
He was slightly off the two games he pitched in that series. In Game 5 he wasn’t terrible, but he wasn’t great either. Also, the ‘86 Red Sox were known for hitting power pitchers pretty hard.
You can't be more wrong. Scully, a NL guy, was caught on a hot mike (just before the cut to commercial after the top of the 10th inning) complaining about Davey Johnson's inept managing after Henderson's game 6 HR.
@@navyguyinvaAnd Vin is a native New Yorker on top of that. Fordham Man, Brooklyn Dodger announcer who went west with the team. I really don’t think Vin or Joe were biased against either team. In 1973 When Mets made the WS Joe had to cover series with his best friend since childhood Yogi Berra managing Mets. Joe did his job as always. People get used to their home town announcers acting as cheerleaders for their team. That is why when the national networks did game it felt different.
I love 80s Baseball!!!
38 years ago tonight Sat. 10 19 2024.
I remember this. This was supposed to be the pitching match up of the century

If there was a bathroom on the mound, I would have used it. Haha.
DWIGHT missed the Mets Parade he was Drunk and high at Someone's Apartment
Great world series
What am I watching
I have Dwight Gooden and Roger Clemens in my own Baseball HOF
Last year Dan Quisenberry, Ed Lopat, Jason Varitek, and George Bell and Dan Petry all got elected. Is that crazy? Maybe...
The others in my HOF include Gary Carter, Darryl Strawberry, Keith Hernandez, Wade Boggs, Jim Rice, Tom Seaver, Don Baylor, Dwight Evans
Also Jose Cruz, Mike Scott, Nolan Ryan, Dave Smith, Brian Downing, Bobby Grich, Reggie Jackson and Chuck Finley
Also Don Sutton
How Ironic 86 World series mimic the Royals Cardinals 85 World Series.
It’s amazing how well Doc pitched in the NLCS compared to here. Was it the drugs or did he just run out of gas?

@Jason.Takes.Manhattan dumbass he is still one of the greats lol

Funny fact Oil can could of save Buckner from 18 prolong years of pain by making himself available for game 7.
Did Doc played for the 96 Yankees? Mets Royals Yankees all lost 2 games at home before winning the World Series.
Both
Dwight Evans.
