They are not even making the watches. They are probably getting these assembled elsewhere branding it as hmt and selling it. This clearly explains the QC issues.
Better than this is to buy an aftermarket hmt Kohinoor mechanical for around 1500rs

Bro the thing is we've to accept the quartz watches from the house of hmt..I understand your concern but hmt can't deal with it as they've no license to use citizen's handwinding movement anymore. I hope they work on QC issues. Then it's fine imho
I dont mind wearing a quartz as long as its well built and looks good on the wrist
And plus point is its more accurate than any mechanical watch
