As you rightly said, why not hmt quartz , yes mechanical is hard to maintain and I already have a mechanical kohinoor, when I saw the dial I went for the quartz immediately, who knows there will be a time where even this quartz can be a master piece one day.

Bro. These are cheap watches with HMT stamp on it. It's actual price will be around Rs. 500 & it's standard is even below Sonata watches. Hype is in the Name of HMT not in the quality. As for the reissue of Timex & Tissot they are good quality watches with good quartz movements & for HMT reissue whatever like Kohinoor or Tareeq they are made of cheap materials same quality watches are sold in footpaths for Rs. 150-300.
Bhai I think you are underestimating HMT, in that case HMT was selling its mechanicals for 4k like few years ago, but the quality was bang on and people are using HMT mechanical from decades
@@WatchgyanHindi i have no complaints against the Mechanical watches by HMT as most of the movements were made in last century & the quality was good no doubt 👍🏻.
Iam talking about all these re issues like Kohinoor quartz, Tareeq quartz etc. I am sure they are made from low quality materials & movement just to satisfy the people who don't have the mechanical versions. For Rs. 2500 you will get much better Titan, Casio watches which have better movements, materials & most importantly QC. I know many people have complaints about Dial moving, Crown coming out in these HMT quartz watches.

I wish hmt would have steel bracelets that could cover the lug edges and not leave a gap there , it looks good for leather straps in my opinion but not for steel perhaps ?
Thanks for review on HMT Kohinoor quartz. I ordered one last week from HMT after seeing review. I wanted Sunray blue with sunblast dial but it was not there. I got dark blue matte. I am not very pleased with quality. The strap has issues. Also I see that the edges of watch are not polished though they are not exposed fully, but the worth of 2500 rs is not there when you get this quality. The quality check is not proper.

As I have heard somewhere that HMT is outsourcing all of the manufacturing of the watches and only selling them,do you have any information regarding this.
Casio and Timex too does that, it's part of the business, however every company has their own QC protocols, I hope HMT knows what they doing, but yes quality of HMT is not at par compared to other brands

Agreed, mechanical watches are special cannot be replaced by quartz. I easily get connected with Mechanical/Automatic watches compared to quartz. Even though I love few of my quartz watchs.
