That itself speaks volumes, Agito n the rest of the fangs know just how powerful serious Hatsumi is so they were not playing around n went full serious mode. To fight n push Agito to the extend to making him evolve is a serious sign of how powerful Hatsumi is. If Agito didn’t do that n went to fight Hatsumi head on , I think there was a chance for him to loose n u all saw how Agito didnt even play around nor enjoyed his match like other times and was dead serious and only focused on winning and was super super cautious. Hatsumi’s foresight and his reflection was even praised by The mighty Beard himself , when he dodged Agito’s kick at the nick of time creating an illusion of being kicked when infact he dodged to create a diversion and attack Agito.n in ashura only Agito friggin took two friggin dragon shots and was still standing and needed a third one to go down ..not even Kuroki tanked one..to this day only Hatsumi (3 dragon shots to go down ) ; Jurota (in omega when everyone is super strong n jurota being one of the most durable m sure he took a dragon shots or two to counter and win against Agito ) and Julius (omega where julius already reached new heights and tanked 2 but went down with agito’s other superior dragon kick ) are the ones so far who took the shot .Remember, a more better fighter and skilled Lu Tian who not lost to Agito when he wanted to finish the match he was dominating by transforming into an imperfect released form too got one shotted by one dragon shot .He is my fav of all , then comes Gaolang and Rian

I think the Kanoh vs Hatsumi fight, story wise, was to show that Agito had jumped up in level so quickly that it absolutely surprised and overwhelmed Sen. Not that Sen isn't high teir.
He literally said he did train :/ and that it wasn't like him. He secretly joined the tournament thinking he could beat fang 100 %. And still got low diffed lol
More than foresight, I think that he's "just" a really good strategist. What I mean is that maybe he can't actually see what he's opponent's going to do, but he's pushing him into doing something he can counter.
I think Hatsumi is a bit of a problem from a writing perspective. If he had pre-initiative he could easily become the strongest fighter from all since a lot of his attacks are all based around beating the opponent with 1 attack. If he lands the gathering cloud triple strike he would instantly win against everyone since there is no way to endure this attack since it does not target muscles wich means that even thinks like the muscle hardening frome the Nico style can't block it. And if he land his Stardrop fall he porpably insta wins too. And that is the problem if he gets enought for foresight or pre-initiative to land even once one of his attacks on his opponent he just wins wich is the reason wh he can't get it or at least not an a level like Agito, well exept if the writer want's him to be totaly over powered

Again the backhead has no muskles that can be used for the muskled hardening from the Niko style so it is fair to asume that. Took about 4 years of aikido and I have to say that skill is mostly about self control and learning how to stay calm when your adrenaline is pumping. The foresight is real and it's more about a presence sense. When you're in a real fight it actually takes training to no fall back on instinct. You usually either run away or lash out or some combination of the two. Aikido tells you move as little as possible. We had this old saying. A small movement is better than a large movement and no movement is best of all. The idea being that you an your opponent tend to move as a group. And if you're moving less, it tends to put you close to the fulcrum of any situation where leverage is involved. While this isn't always the best place to be on it's own, it's a good way to be able to figure out where exactly you are in the fight and to be able to navigate within the dynamic space of the fight. We would try to match the rhythm of the opponent and most of our techniques were counter attacks. This is where I get into the presence sense I was talking about earlier. See when your adrenaline is flowing you tend to be really plugged into your senses and you start to notice things that your mind has been keeping track of but your weren't conscious of such as the posture and breathing of you and your opponent and what Aikdio trains is that you are always at your weakest on defense when you're the most committed to offense. So Aikido waits for or tries to provoke an attack from their opponent to be able to look of an opening for your counter attack. I personally liked his fight againt Kanoh since its always interesting too see how people with serious height disadvantage fight. He did well blocking several attacks from Kanoh but I can't help but think that he was overhyped. Even if he is a tier lower than Kanoh he should still have done something to him. Even Rihito did some damage to Beard and Ren did damage Setsuna even though it was 1v1 which is Ren's weakness as he can't go all out unless its against multiple fighters. Hatsumi she have given Kanoh at least a nosebleed but nope he does some cool things and then gets rolled. I hope we see him defeat Cosmo's master or someone else strong so we can all show him some respect because right now people either mock him or make him out to be top 5.

Beating people in their own style. But ever since his fight with goalong, he stopped copying because he couldn't beat gaolong in boxing. Omori (the ex 4th fang)showed kanoh the martial arts style that he used to beat hatsumi. So yeah hatsumi wasn't expecting kanoh to have a new style, and it also didn't help that kanoh developed forsight during that fight. Predicting hatsumi every move ;/ I mean like you said.... Hatsumi was outclassed and over hyped is all. He's strong but he wasn't close to beating agito.

Hatsumi reminds me of Sans, A comedian who splits the fandom with half of them saying he is some unbeatable super god and the other half saying he is a jobber who needs everything to be according to his plans.
I think the writers don’t quite know what to do with him. He’s an intriguing character. His fighting style is very manipulative, and he have the moves to actually finish the fight once he gets you to where he needs you. That’s why everyone’s conclusion from the Kanoh fight was “Hatsumi is a master but Agito is something else”.
He kinda does, he predicted how Kanoh would move perfectly. Had Kanoh not doubled his reaction time Hatsumi would have landed the 3 strikes and probably won.
kanoh with foresight is busted as hell, hatsumi being clap by a top of the verse character doesnt discredit him especially with all of hatsumi feats: clapping pre kat waka, no diffing seki, keeping up with advance ohma even without peak condition, completely dodging near max speed base ohma and slightly outspeeding r3 kanoh. the only reason why hatsumi lost is because of foresight

Agito has plot armor in his side, for reference his fighting skills are below Gaolan and Sen hatsumi and Hiroki, though his durabilities is the only thing that makes up for his psuedo jack of trades mediocre formless fighting style.

@@aa84561 I respectfully disagree. Hatsumi's undisciplined, lackadaisical personality alone puts him at a serious disadvantage. The man (Hatsumi) has to be in peak condition or even a low rank fighter can give him trouble...meaning he isn't always at his best when he competes...can you say the same thing for Gaolang? Gaolang isn't only bigger, younger and debatable as fast if not faster than Hatsumi he is also actively/currently the Undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in Boxing (and respectively small for that division...he is technically more a Cruiserweight in size than a heavyweight), consider the P4P best boxer in the world, a national Muay Thai Champion and the personal BODYGUARD of the KING of Thailand...meaning this guy is always in shape and ready to fight. A general rule of thumb...stay ready so you don't have to get ready...pretty much applies in this situation. Even if Hatsumi is more talented than Gaolang the fact that Gaolang is more focused than Hatsumi is all the more reason Gaolang beats him...not to be cliche but Hardwork usually beats talent especially when talent doesn't work hard.

Hatsumi reminds me of Sans, A comedian who splits the fandom with half of them saying he is some unbeatable super god and the other half saying he is a jobber who needs everything to be according to his plans.
I think the writers don’t quite know what to do with him. He’s an intriguing character. His fighting style is very manipulative, and he have the moves to actually finish the fight once he gets you to where he needs you. That’s why everyone’s conclusion from the Kanoh fight was “Hatsumi is a master but Agito is something else”.
Personality is also interesting IMO. His fight with Kanoh shows there's some insecurity lurking within him which needs to be explored

The man (Hatsumi) has to be in peak condition or even a low rank fighter can give him trouble...meaning he isn't always at his best when he competes...can you say the same thing for Gaolang? Gaolang isn't only bigger, younger and debatable as fast if not faster than Hatsumi he is also actively/currently the Undisputed heavyweight champion of the world in Boxing (and respectively small for that division...he is technically more a Cruiserweight in size than a heavyweight), consider the P4P best boxer in the world, a national Muay Thai Champion and the personal BODYGUARD of the KING of Thailand...meaning this guy is always in shape and ready to fight.
