CAMPING IN OUR NEW IKAMPER IN KAIBAB

We tried rooftop tent camping with our baby! It went much better than I thought it would even though we didn't make it through the night. I'm pretty proud that we made it to 11pm!!
Kaibab is one of our favorite places to camp especially with it being so close to the Grand Canyon. It's absolutely gorgeous! We also love our iKamper! This tent is so easy to assemble and super cozy inside! All three of us fit comfortably and the mattress is honestly super nice. I'm incredibly happy with our iKamper and can't wait to spend a whole night in it... eventually.
If you are planning on camping with a baby for the first time a few tips I learned but didn't get to share in the video are:
1) Make sure you bring a charger for your sound machine. Ours died at 10pm and it played a huge part in why Emi didn't make it through the night.
2) Bring a night light for your little. I didn't realize how scary the tent can be and night. I left my phone's flashlight on to try to help Emi sleep but didn't have any luck. I wish I would have brought a little night light for her.
3) Try the baby's sleeping bag before you get to the campsite. I thought sleeping bags were super straight forward but Emi's sleeping bag had a manufacturing error. We couldn't zip it properly which freaked her out and was the beginning of the end for our camping trip.
