Thank you Dennis!
My mom always loved this song when it came out, I think I was about 9, or 10, back then. About ten years after this song came out I joined a band and basically we played nothing my mom liked (KISS, Iron Maiden, Dokken, Judas Priest, etc covers, plus our own songs). In 1986 when I told her I was in a band, she assumed, at first, it would be something like what you guys play, with a little bit of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis thrown in. I tried to get her to come see us when we were in western Iowa back around 1988, but she wouldn't come because of our style. Plus, she said it was too long of a trip from Des Moines to Council Bluffs, or Sioux City where we played the following day. Growing up, though, I loved all of the 70's songs on the radio. I was majorly influenced by bands like ELO, Yes, and Deep Purple back in those childhood years. As a drummer I was strongly influenced by Bev Bevan and Carl Palmer. Of course it's no mystery that grunge killed metal, and so by 1991 I quit playing with any bands and quit playing the drums, altogether. The bug got ahold of me again two years ago, and I bought a new drum kit, and after about 6 months of shaking off the dust and rust, I got back into the form I thought I should be at. I've avoided joining a band up until recently simply because I didn't know what kind of music I would want to play. But, I find myself playing a lot of stuff, from the late 60's to the mid 80's. Stuff from the Fifth Dimension, Earth, Wind and Fire, ELO, Badfinger and so on. This style of music is actually fun, not only to play, but to listen to, as well. In just the last week I started what will be a slow process to get the right people together to form a band to do this kind of music. I've gotten with a local bass guitar player, who actually knows many of same people I know from the 80's music scene in the Des Moines area. Somehow we just never crossed paths, that we're aware of. Now the building process and trial and error part begins. Unfortunately, my mom passed away over 20 years ago. But if she were alive today, and we were out playing somewhere (hopefully by this late summer) , she'd be right there watching us and demanding that we play Moody Blue!
You guys are really awesome. I see that you will be in Ankeny, Iowa on July 23 at the car show. I live in Ankeny, and I'm going to make it a point to be in town that day to come see you guys. Stay safe and stay blessed!
Another GREAT cover, Fellas! Keep'em coming!
I've always loved this song, and you folks are doing it proud. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome as always! Goosebumps!
Thank you, Dorothy!
Man great cover of a classic song, you can still hear the great voices and harmonies of the music and vocals perfectly as if it was the original of Walter Egan. Great performance 👏
Thanks Nelson! We really appreciate the kind words
Awesome cover guys
Hellya! 👍
You guys nailed it. Best cover yet
Hello Gentleman - another big home run here! Simply outstanding.
Thank you Robert!

My band just worked this song up LOVE it.... if you guys ever come to north Texas let me know love to get you guys booked at all the best places ,,,,,,,, Rock On Pet Rocks:)
Thank you Joe! We truly appreciate it! So cool that your band is playing this too!
Love this! You're spot on with this song.
Nice!
You guys are the real deal!!!!! I played in some decent bands back in the day and I would have loved to have your harmonies!!!! Last band I was in had a good lead vocalist and the bass players Wife also sang. She had a very good Pat Benatar voice, but absolutely refused to sing harmony. We came off sounding like a cheap, duet Karaoke band!! LOL!! Keep on Rockin' my good Men!!!!!!!
Hi Chris. Thanks for the kind words. We've all been doing the band thing for decades and when this project came together it was magical to find a group of super talented guys that shared the same passion for doing these songs right. It has been a journey but a very rewarding one!
Soprano dude is killing it meaning tis is really good. Nice nice cover PR'
Damn that was good! Thank you. There were great memories🙏🏼🤘🏼💯
You guys are crazy good!
You guys are awesome.

Great rendition. I also like the guitarist's smooth move at 2:46.
Very cool
Perfection!
Nice job.
Wow! Great cover! You guys are spot on! 👍
Well done
This is better than the original because the recording is so much more dynamic. Just fantastic! I also like the Hemispheres on the turntable... I was listening to both at the same time too. :)
Please come east! The best to play these songs. Thank you
Yay!!!! I've waiting for a new video ever since I watch all of them in 1 night!!!! LOL. Love you guys. Thank you. Can't wait to see what comes next
Thanks Phillip!
Yes, a new video, been waiting!!
We hope it was worth the wait!
Me too!
Dam...nice & tight fellas. Sounds awesome. You got this one down.
What part of the country do you guy play mainly?
Hey there and thanks for the kudos! We are based out of Omaha, NE and play primarily in the Midwest.

Hey gang! It was Walters 74th birthday yesterday 7/12/2022. May I drop this video on his wall? he would totally enjoy it!
Hi Joanne! By all means! We love ya!
Always wanted George Michael to cover this ! Or Cher
Wow! You pulled this one off...and without the glassy-eyed stoner chick in the original video!
This is very good. Just one question. Are these guys all wearing wigs?
D U D E!!!!!
I wonder whether this qualifies as "yacht rock". Such a cool version.
The cover of the Hemispheres album on the turntable....👍
Ok. Someone sent this to me and I clicked it expecting it to be awful. Like, cringe terrible.
I hereby fully admit, I couldn't be more wrong. Damn good rendition. Reminds me a bit of Matthew Sweet's take on it. Very well done!
Thank you Zakk!
Go through the list, Zakk. These guys are amazing. They need more shares. They should have way more subs. Top notch entertainment.
Matthew Sweet also lives in Omaha. He's soooo good! And back in the day had some great guitar players doing leads. Richard Lloyd of Television and Robert Quine of the Voidoids.
I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't seen Pet Rock yet, and I live in Omaha. I've seen you guys advertise shows, but I thought you were just a classic rock band, and haven't come out to your shows. Little did I know how wrong I was. I just came across your videos, and will be at your next show in the Omaha area. Great covers of great songs!!
I'd def buy your cd!!!! Where?
Hi Gayle! We don't actually have a CD, but we love spoofing classic commercials. Maybe one day we will release one!
