It would make a huge difference. They are very forgiving subs. I push close to 1500w of clean power per SA-12 and have ZERO issues in a 4 cu ft at 33 hz. Remember that your LPF is your friend.

Did it make a substantial loudness difference going from 600w to 1000w on this sub? I am wondering because I have 2 of them in a box that is 1.5cu.ft ported at 35hz and only 400w rms going to each. It hits pretty dang good and sounds incredible doing it, I was just thinking about getting an amp that would give them both 1000w each of clean power and wondering just how much difference it would make and if it would be worth the money.

First, sound storm doesn't make anything that's real quality or power...you would be lucky to see 3-500 from that amp...that poor woofer in a prefab box on a crap swap meet amp.
Sealed enclosure is not recommended by manufacturer. These are SPL oriented subs anyway you'd probably want a more SQ oriented sub for a small sealed enclosure.
Honestly it depends on what kind of music you listen to but in my opinion I would go with the 8" sub. I have 2 8" subs now and I like them better than bigger speakers because although they not be as loud they're more accurate and percise when it comes to some songs with faster beats. Also depends on the box, but when I had this set up with the 12" in a ported box it sounded like it fell behind when listening to stuff like rock and house music where there are lots of bass notes really close together.
es8210 yea I have had my fair share of different sized subs I have been primarily a kicker guy I have a comp 15 in a ported box tuned around 35-36ish Hz also have 2 comp r 12s in a ported box tuned at 37 Hz and have 2 comp 8s in a t line I've never dealt with sundown and I wanted to check them out so thanks for the help on the decision lol 😂 hopefully I will be getting a x8 v2 soon
es8210 and also with the sundown x 8 it would be nearly as loud as the sa12 due mainly to the fact of almost double the distance between the top and bottom of the mechanical limitation so its gonna move (in therory ) as much air as a sa 12 yet it will have tighter more accurate bass
+ORANGE BOY 714 dont get mad buddy I made this video when I was 17 and was just going by what my amp was advertised for on the box and their website, so Im well aware that 1000 rms on this amp may not be as good as true 1000 rms on a legit amp but I have no other way of measuring wattage so in terms of this company what you see is their advertised 1000w rms which is why I stated what brand amp I had so people would know Im not ballin out on a $5000 audio system, just showing you can get some great sound with a cheap set up

uh...subs dont make power.... they take it the sub is RATED to TAKE 750w rms...... if you take a 750w sub and a 1000 amp.....you still have 1000 w you DO NOT MAGICLY gain 750w......dont DONT have 1750w.... again....the sub does not ad or take power... it just uses it.... using a 120v 60w light bulb in your house does not make your electrical system 240 votls...

I take advantage of my LPF and cross overs. I like to run my subs at very high but clean power.
