Another tip from my experience: To tell which tank is going to explode first in the final fight, look for the red tether. 9S tethers to the tank that will explode first with a red tether. If you wait for the AOE indicator pulse to start before you move it can sometimes be too late to get in cover. Just move as soon as you see the red tether and you'll be fine.
For the second boss, if anyone from one of the other alliances raises someone from a different alliance, keep in mind they will appear on the raiser's platform (where raise was cast).
Aside from the music and the aesthetics, I think the thing I like the most about this raid is that even though many MANY people died over an over again while doing it we were able to clutch the win, it just took a while. Really, the only mechanic we ran into that actually wiped the group to where we had to start over again was the meteors on the Engels fight since people seemed to forget that mechanic even though it's as old as 2.x.
Work To Game I didn't have any luck either since I went in blind and died a few times to each boss. Lol since I'm on a kick to wanting to learn every fight this expansion, dying a lot is all part of the learning process. But this raid, like everything this expansion, was so epic
at the part where ur divided and it switches around mechanics, turn ur camera to the back wall, theres where most of the mechanics come from, u really dont need to look in front of you. lasers come from there but u cant avoid them anyways.
Been through 3 times now. Pretty fun time. It's funny because the first couple of bosses still break my brain but the last couple seem largely easy in comparison. Still hoping to pick up the minion and the actual gear but was lucky enough to grab the 2B coffer already.
@@Pmak Haha Yeah, I'm usually terrible with RNG so I was shocked it came so quickly. Good work man! Ran this twice and it was a lot of fun. Though running and clearing Eden Savage and other Savage fights a lot of mechanics are very familiar. Except for the craziest mechanic of all: a tank that drags the boss all over the earth lmao
no, and we probably won't see any as alliance raids usually don't come with unique weapons But then again Yoshi-P did mention he likes the idea, so no harm in hoping (btw you should care for Nier armor, because the normal stuff is i.level 465)
The dropping balls that accompany Engels' Energy Barrage (the giant channelled laser down the centre of the platform) don't actually cause "some raid wide" damage. It will wipe your entire raid group of it's not done correctly. Every group I've been through with has not done this bit correctly at least once and every time it was a wipe. You only need one person on each circle to negate the damage (the circle will actually light up when someone is in it to visually confirm that you've done it right) but you need to do it. It's not optional.
Alliance A’s Hobbes mechanic has lines of machine heads under you that activate and shoot fire at you. They have telegraphs so its not that bad. I’ve only been in A so I’m not sure about C.
Yeah, one has the conveyor belts, one has lines of grates with machines underneath and the third one has circular patterns that light on fire. All telegraph pretty obviously but it's not so easy when other stuff is happening. I found the fire floor to be the hardest just because the circular safe areas don't always play nice with the other mechanics.
I'm finishing up leveling white mage, and finishing up my guide for red mage. And at that point will put a poll up for people to vote on what I should work on next. :)
9/10 times the answer is a dps. melee for single target and ranged for aoe. that being said new contetn sometimes calls for a tank to get through a nasty part of a boss (dont see that helping a ton here) or more likely in the case of this raid the healer may need it to mass rez people whoa re dying to things they have not yet mastered avoiding. as gear and knowledge of the fight increases the healer using it will drop off and it will be dps like most content.
What song is playing in the background? I know it's from FFXIV, but I forget where it's from. I want to say it's a boss theme? EDIT: Shattered, I'm pretty sure. From Syrcus Tower.
The 'Anti-personnel Missiles' at the very end keeps getting me. In the beginning it's really easy to dodge, but then it feels like there's a sequence of 2 or 3 of these in a row with both the 'checkerboard' and 'linear' patterns and I keep having a hard time keeping track of the pattern while the airstrike is going on at the same time. Rest of the raid wasn't too bad up to this point. Still enjoyed it overall, but I get the feeling I'm going to be running this one a ton to get the healer and casting gear.
