Saw Redman and it ended being only about 300 people at a venue that could hold 3,000 and he said " I don't give a f@#$ if it's 500 or 50,000, I'm gonna rock it." He said "consider it a private show". After the show he shook everyone's hands, took pics, signed shoes, hats, frisbees, whatever. That was one of my all time favorite shows I've ever been to! That's how shit should be handled as an artist. Make memories with your fans!

He's talking about Exhibit. That was a bitch move to quit the tour because essentially they didn't wanna pay their dues as an opening act. If you're the opening act that comes with it so do the best performance you can and be cool with your position until you can move up in the food chain of touring acts. Method Man and Red Man went through the same thing during the Hard Knock Life/Def Jam tour and decided that they were gonna give the best show they could do and they became notorious for upstaging the headliners. And they made it known to the headlining acts that they were purposely killing on stage to make them look bad and make the headliners work harder. It got to a point that people purposely started coming earlier to see them open the show because it started being known as the best part of the show, mind you this was when the whole Rocafella camp(Beanie, Young Guns, Freeway, Bleek, and even an early Kanye West were peaking then) and DMX were on the bill. That tour was part of the reason Jay Z got known for being kinda lame to see live. If you wanna talk Rock and Roll, Van Helen were opening for Black Sabbath and were so good they got kicked off the tour for upstaging Ozzy and the crew. Later on they got known throughout the industry as a band you don't want opening up because they'll make you look bad...that's when Ticketron offered them a headlining bill. They didn't have to open anymore and they earn the right to demand more money, better lighting, their own personal sound guy and etc for their tours.

Pac literally passed just before the big Hip Hop arena tours started to take off. Sad as he was just taking it that way with some of his live shows.
That ‘Up and Smoke tour’ also had half of the Deathrow props/ideas with the big skull and low riders etc!!

Bad move, should've just kept touring and gain even more fans. They were fresh artists to the mainstream and were in a very good position opening up for the Up In Smoke Tour. Master P would start off performing wherever he could when he started. Got booed, dissed and received blank stares. In the end, it drove him and he did it to the fullest with NO LIMIT

We were fucked up, we checked ticket Master and realize that Jah Rule and Ashanti had a show in Albany which was an extra 3 hours away we droved there, got there the show had already started but we got to see them for the first time and they did all their hits together the concert wasn't packed but we felt better, had a good time.

  • @stevenkluck4250

I hear what he's saying but true fans would know that they're opening and should have shown up earlier if they wanted to see them. And that's how all artists start out I remember when G-Eazy first came out and was opening up in Dallas and they're literally only being like five-six hundred people. And then a year later perform at the same place in front of thousands.

Another famous player (won't say his name) yelled and cussed me out, I was a kid then so I cried and everything! (you get back the, same energy you put out) He was cut from, the team 3 day's later and never hit the field again!
