Throughout this series we've seen so many different forms of being trapped - mostly being stuck physically in small spaces lol But from descriptions of listener, what they are truly trapped in is themself. So what makes this part such a strong conclusion is that it's Kayson granting listener the one thing he embodies best - freedom. Kayson's listener is someone who has it all: good looks, good grades, good personality, good life. It's why he's so crazy about them: how could someone with so much want someone that seems less than that? Because too much good can be a curse as it is, well, too much sometimes. From the dates, to the massage to now, listener seemed to be someone who doesn't fight being trapped but rather wants to choose how they will be. As fatalistic as it sounds, they likely believe they will always be trapped somehow so they weigh their options rather than create new ones. Kayson is the other half; instead of getting himself trapped, he makes new solutions. He finds a way to get the best option for him nor matter what. It shows that one of the many wonderful reasons why prestigious listener is attracted to Kayson is admiration, like for example how he was able to be in the same university as them even with a different background and such different approaches to life. As such that's why it took unintentional events to cause everything - even though their feelings were mutual for a while before the locker, they might have thought that there were too many differences to work before. Kayson mentioned listener’s friends’ disapproval once; that fear of what others think also likely contributed to not going for him (more on this later). But yeah, for him to have even become an option for listener, the locker and elevator HAD to be accidents, perfect accidents. Up until this episode, listener was still in the mindset of picking their poison rather than looking for the opposite. Kayson was still in the mindset of trying to find a way closer so as to make listener his. Both wanted to try new things. So thanks to some "higher power at work" they found each other in the perfect conditions - listener needing a new option and Kayson getting a symbolic taste of what it's like to be the person he wants: trapped and not in control. Therefore the library date had much more symbolism than what it seemed. By having further peeks into each other's lives and behaviors, Kayson and listener could actually start to explore how they fit together. Listener could try and learn the freedom of not caring what someone else says and Kayson could see all the negative effects hard work has on listener and moves forward to show that he can ease them through it, even if he can't grant full freedom. To conclude the series, this finale is the two working out of the last trap of them all - fear. Listener's personality and habits evidently came with insecurities that are preventing them from truly being free to make the choice the way they want. Kayson was never bound by that and likely didn't think of it until being Trapped with listener, as said in the carnival episode. By caring about what someone else thought of how he looked or talked he could understand the effect insecurities has on listener. Messing up his room in the process of trying to look perfect at the cost of losing sleep symbolized what would be targeted in this video: hindrances. Kayson wants listener all to himself without dimming what makes them shine. For that to work, listener has to work past the fear that they will lose shine if they let themselves feel anything but trapped. Not telling anyone about their new relationship and trying to hold back even in private are examples of how despite everything they’ve learned, they’re still letting their fears from day one get to them. Bringing up Marston wasn’t just fan service and world building; like Kayson said, Marston and that listener are at freedom to be happy with each other but fear and pride got the better. So when Kayson showed that he was jealous of people like Tristan and why, it wasn't angst so much as it was him showing listener again what not relaxing can do to their relationship. Again, symbolism with the massage - just dealing with something rather than facing it head on doesn’t kill you but still causes damage. Change won’t occur with a simple sentence but Kayson telling listener that he loves all of them and that therefore there’s nothing to be afraid of will definitely help the process begin. Perhaps listener will be able to break out of their fear completely in the future but they only just started dating so they are doing what they can to see how it goes. Kayson talked about in this part how he cannot aim for forever, just for as long as possible for the foreseeable future. So the way listener is trapped with Kayson this time is by finally embodying the choice of the location being him. By being Kayson's and no one else's, listener may still be “trapped” in a way but it is what they want. Also it's more like transport this time instead of a final destination and it’s within listener’s control for the first time. And from it it’s evident: Kayson will help listener grow throughout their relationship and he knows he’ll learn alongside them as well. In conclusion despite differences on the surface, they truly are perfect for each other and I think they will last - the best relationships are ones that bring out the best of both and help them continue to become even better. Fantastic work on this series, Saku - no matter the memes and origins, it has been beautifully done. Have a good one!

Please the way Kayson lets the listener take in the situation at their own pace and makes sure they're consenting is so precious... honestly this is something I've only seen in Saku's roleplays. Most of the times, I find these "your crush" characters too pushy and/or even barely mindful of the listener's feelings at times (or maybe it's simply that the algorithm thinks they're my type lol) but Saku's characters are assertive while also being considerate.
