As I get older, 73 tomorrow, the fragility and uncertainty of life in this ole world sometimes grabs hold of my heart and I am torn between wanting to stay, and at the same time longing to go home. I've never done much in this time I was given, but I know without a doubt that Jesus died for me and when my heart beats no more.... I will see Him face to face and I will be home. Just lost my 5 month old nephew who has been fighting in the hospital for the past two months ! When our family heard the news , everyone was at peace except for me ! Surprisingly I stumbled upon this song while browsing around youtube & just hearing the message , I teared up so much & it just hit me , that however our situation may be , he is in better hands and he is resting without any pain or sorrow ! So sorry to hear this. I lost my 2 year old daughter in 2006 to a heart condition she was born with. My wife and I were always in and out of the hospital with her. She had way to many things wrong with her and this song was one her favorites for me to sing. It will be 14 years in November and I can still remember every account of that day like it was yesterday. I just lost my Dear Dad on 21/2/2017 & my Dear Loving wife on 5/3/2017 (less than 3 years of marriage). This song came handy for i discovered it just after i first lost my Dad. Thank you. Yes I'm okay but I still can't think of Steven without a few tears. Losing young people in your life is so hard! So much lost potential! A few weeks ago my son lost a good friend, only 30 years young, to drugs. Lives cut short so abruptly, tear you apart emotionally. I know that God is in control and holds the future and we will see all those we have lost again someday if they were Christians. Sudden death can happen to anyone at anytime so it's best to know Jesus today then put off accepting Him tomorrow. Especially now with so many young people dropping dead suddenly from taking the COVID jab! I wish main stream media would talk about it and warn people how dangerous the jab is!!! Did you see where the director of Pfizer admitted in front of the EU hearing that the jab was never tested to see if it protected people from catching COVID/spreading COVID before they started giving shots to people? I was shocked! I'm so glad I didn't take it! But anyway, people need to get right with God before they die, afterwards is too late! If you took the jab, your time on earth may be a lot shorter than you think! May God bless you.

I LOVE this version with Charlotte Ritchie, she has a beautiful voice. I also love hearing Kim Hopper and Ladye Love Smith singing with her. As I watched towards the end of the video when they're singing it again, I noticed the look on Gloria Gaither's face with her eyes shut. It's as if she is listening to God. Reminds me of my Aunt Sister who passed away last Nov 2012. Laying in the casket, she looked as if her head was tilted and she was listening to God, as she did when here on earth.
I must echo the sentiments expressed by Herb, below. I find this to be one of the most beautiful, heartrending songs in the entire homecoming series. The lyrics, Charlotte's wonderful, soft, lyrical voice that reaches in & touches my heart, the outstanding blend of the trio...it all brings me to tears each time I play it. I thought maybe one of the disciples, at first. I could hear this voice say I would know who it was soon. Sure enough several weeks later while surfing youtube. I see this painting by a very beautiful 8 year old girl who had so professionally painted his face. This was Jesus. So friends he does exist. Never let the devil tell you otherwise. Never mind what the so-called "WORD OF FAITH PREACHERS" say, death is every bit a part of life as birth is, and we don't know when our time is going to be up. Tomorrow is NEVER promised. This past year, August 14, 2019 I lost my 90-year-old mother. Now both of my parents are gone forever from this world. But even though (who knows) I might go, or one of my siblings this year, or a cousin, or someone else, it's not forever, for those of us who are in Christ. We will see each other again, on the other shore, when we are not only delivered from the penalty of sin, or the power of sin, but we will be delivered from the very presence of sin. Can anyone of us really imagine that?
