Useful English for buying a Car

In this video recorded by Ross IELTS Academy, we get familiar with a normal conversation when you want to buy a car in an English speaking country.
Buying a car
Customer: Could you tell me how much does this car cost?
Seller: How much do you want to pay? Are you planning on buying a new car?
This car is beautiful, isn’t it? It is a great choice, I guarantee.
Customer: Could I know the price?
Seller: Fifteen thousand out the door! What a deal, right?
Customer: um that’s quite high-priced.
Seller: Well, this price will of course include tax, license, registration, and the dealer prep.
Customer: Still I was thinking a little lower than that.
Seller: Let’s keep talking, I’m sure we can work something out. What price are you thinking is fair?
Customer: I was thinking more like thirteen thousand dollars.
Seller: Well, fourteen thousand for this car is a good price. For that I’m practically giving it away. How about that?
Customer: Normally that would be a good price, but obviously that car has been in an accident.
Seller: You have a keen eye, I see your point. Hmm… thirteen thousand five hundred and fifty is my final offer.
Customer: Umm that’s much better, can I test drive the car?
Seller: Only if you have your driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Customer: You don’t have to worry about that. Can I take it on freeway to check for acceleration?
Seller: That would be fine, just don’t forget to buckle your seatbelt! I’ll go get the keys and the card you need to sign.
Customer: That’s it? All I have to do is to sign the card?
Seller: Yes and then we’ll be on our way. Told you we can make a deal.

It is indeed not a complex thing to deal with. You just need basic knowledge about the car and your choice. You need to openly speak to the dealers without any hesitation. I mean there should not be any scope for hesitation. Get your drag boy 🔥

today i had my speaking exams. i answered most of the questions they asked. but i interpreted one wrongly and answered it wrongly. The examiner asked twice and i gave the wrong answer twice. Will it affect my score badly?
