Any given Saturday. ASU can win. They will need everything to go wrong for Texas (injuries, dumb drive killing penalties, unlucky turnovers) and they will still need a few miraculous plays. But it could happen.
The only way they upset Texas is Texas hands them the game via turnovers, ST blunders, or missed assignments in the defensive backfield. ASU is about to find out what a top talented team on both LOS’s looks like.
Congrats to ASU on a great season, but Texas is on another level. Upsets occur, but even at their worst, ASU will have to play over their heads to win because the Longhorns are so deep at every position.

ASU won 6 games within a score, including beating Texas State by 3. ASU is very outmatched in this game along the lines of scrimmage. Skattebo will be minimized similar to when Texas Tech did it, but Texas is much better equipped to do so. OSU Ollie Gordon (Doak Walker winner), had 1,732 yards avg 6.1ypc last year and he went 13 carries for 34 yards on us. Texas is top 4 in rush defense this year and knows how to shut down the run.

The best qb the Longhorns have faced are Carson Beck and Cade Klubnik and Clemson actually had some good success until that last tx td. I don’t think Texas has faced very many good offenses but the talent disparity is pretty big. @@drm2364last year is decent indicator when you had 2 first rounders on the dline. I didn’t say it’s everything but let’s not act like they faced a ton of good offenses this year either. Dillingham has his work cut out for him and I will be rooting for them but it’s gonna be very tough to beat tx.

No, they aren’t lmao. ASU lost Tyson, so they took out a legitimate dude at WR. Clemson has Klubnik, who is better than Leavitt. I think Sam is very good and will get even better, but he and Cade comp well. Now, here’s the thing: Arizona State doesn’t have Clemson’s defense, which has much better players. They don’t have Clemson’s wide receivers or tight end. They had Tyson, but that’s really all. Xavier Guillory isn’t at all near as good as Bryant Wesco or TJ Moore, who are 5-star freshmen. AZ State doesn’t have a TE anywhere near as good as Briningstool at Clemson. Now, Arizona State has a better run game, but they haven’t seen a defense anywhere in the stratosphere of Texas. This will be the biggest and fastest group they’ve gone up against by a wide margin. Then sure, we head “Quinn Ewers bad” a lot, but in quite a few games, he hasn’t been 100% at all. Isaiah Bond has been hurt and may play in this game, so add him to the mix on offense. Arizona State’s DL hasn’t seen any offense line as good as ours and take Georgia out of the mix because ASU doesn’t have anybody as good as Georgia on their DL or in their LB group, and their safeties are much better along with their corners. Texas has played teams (I don’t care if they are 7-5) in the SEC with NFL talent riddled on some of those defenses and offenses and handled them perfectly fine. Sure, nothing is given, and anything could happen, but Skattebo won’t be able to run wild on this defense unless they totally collapse. Kansas State and Texas Tech, Cincy, and Texas State shut down Skattebo, and none of those teams are as assignment-sound or at all in the country mile of being as talented as Texas’ LB, DL, or back end of the defense.
